I don’t support war so support neither. But I do think Russia would have the upper hand. Hope it doesn’t lead to that. 😔

I support the good motives.

Well yer know mine background is from this area, it’s saddening to witness the going ons.

But yer know there are rats on every side, politics is a terrible game. And don’t I know it, oh yes!

Putin has his points, as do the others.

I just hope this DOES NOT spill out to a full blown WW3 situation but at this point it is highly unlikely unless other measures come to play.. hmmm.
 
Sadly enough, the West has failed Ukraine. The EU has become dependent on Russian oil and gas. London has long been a playground of the Russian oligarchs. When Russia annexed Crimea, the West turned a blind eye and abandoned Ukraine. Truth be told, the West tried to impose their values on to Russia, as it tried to do in the Middle East, and everywhere else to be quite fair, and the eastward extension of the EU caused Putin to become paranoid, but this is no reason to invade a country. With a track record of invading countries and territories in the Caucasus and annexing the Crimea, sanctions should have been imposed a lot earlier without imposing moral and cultural superiority and pointing one’s finger at Russia. Economic isolation post-2008/2009 (Russo-Georgian war and Second Chechen war) would have financially crippled Russia and an invasion would have been far too costly. An economic crisis would likely also have lead to a regime change. In essence, failed policies and diplomacy, which lead Russia to become paranoid, along with financial greed/economic dependency, created this situation.
 
Some of the “on the ground” stories of individuals being injured is so upsetting. I’ve been glued to the news for three days flicking between news stations to get the most well- rounded idea of what the situation is currently- and I truly believe this is the calm before the storm.
 
We won't have a side to choose when it goes from a war between two borders to a third world war with nuclear warheads flying everywhere, for example. So, in the end, "Russia or Ukraine" won't make any sense anymore. Because it will no longer be "Russia or Ukraine", but a valley of dry bones with many bodies rotting on the roads. So, in the end, what sense does war make? None. All I see is just two countries paying the price for choosing shitty rulers, because any politician who prefers war over dialogue is always a sh|t politician.
