What are the main seasonings you use when cooking?

Mine are: salt, pepper, chili powder, paprika, and Goya all purpose seasoning. Often I also use Italian seasoning.

depends on what I'm cooking. salt, pepper, lawry's, morton's natures seasons and even though its got many of the same as lawrys meat goes in the oven/on the grill/ in the pan with famous Dave's chicken rub. adobo isn't in my rack. idk it just tastes too garlicly/oniony to me. if I want that I'll add my dry onions.

yes we don't run out of Dave's or Lawry's those 2 have to be name brand. nature seasons is top shelf too but ive been known to throw in Aldi seasoning salt and call it good.

I should clarify for non cookers ( I've been there trust me): for a normal kitchen seasoning salt = reddish in color with paprika. in my kitchen: seasoning salt = table seasonings garlic, onion, black pepper greyish in color many times salt free. in my kitchen we either have Lawry's or season salt. why? I have no idea, its always been that way.

Garlic lots of , onion granules , Dried chilli Flakes , Sumac ( a great all rounder ) Tarragon , the list is endless and not forgetting Everything But the Bagel seasoning which someone kindly brought me back from the States.

Omg I live everything but the bagel!!! I use it on my avocado toast in the morning.

Himalayan pink sea salt, cracked fresh ground black pepper. That is all.
I love Himalayan pink salt, it’s what I use too. I do wonder if I should expand on my salts, I like flaky salts (how they look at least) wonder if they taste better, especially cause they’re more expensive. Not that expensive means better. I’ve heard flaky salt is good for steak though.

Yeah Kosher salt is great for steaks, but again I found the Himalayan Pink, the best tasting, especially for steak. All about preference though!

I am from INDIA and here several seasonings are used and every seasoning has different flavor and taste. But there are some common and most used seasoning we use are black pepper, black salt, asafoetida, cumin seeds and coriander.

Seasonings are the condiments, sauces, and herbs that we add to food in order to enhance its flavor, smell, and aesthetics. Fresh herbs and dried seasonings are pretty much interchangeable in the recipe. These flavor-enhancing condiments serve to offset the taste of savory dishes and sweet treats, providing a rich, nuanced flavor profile that draws out the essence of raw materials during preparation. Use some seasonings during prep, while others during cooking, or as a final finishing touch.
