Should pregnant girls be expelled from school?

Should pregnant girls be expelled from school

Should pregnant girls be expelled from school

Even the word "good" is subjective. If I feel I have a promise of eternal life, that gives me peace, and is "good". Is this "good" able to be extended to more than the individual to greater society? Hard to say.

Id rather see that kind of stuff in the cafe, and reserve the tech forum for discussions of a support, problem & solution, and how-to nature. On the other hand, thats not my decision to make.Wonder what the consensus is, however?

Pregnancy doesn't make them disabled in the way they can acquire new information and study. That is absolutely possible to combine pregnancy and education though girls may consider home schooling for the hardest part of this route.

Would you also expel the father so he could get a job and raise the baby? It would make a tough situation worse and getting an education is really important for most better paying jobs. Doing this would increase the poverty population in America so no. They need school more than ever when they get pregnant. The parents of the mother and father of the baby are the ones who should step in and help them with this.

This is a formal debate. You're either for or against the motion. The motion that stands before us today is: This house believes that pregnant girls should be expelled from school.

A lot has changed in our society since 2006 when this debate started.
In 2020 I am all for having day cares in high schools so these mothers can get the education they were promised. If they had gotten educated before hand, perhaps they would not have allowed a boy to get them pregnant in the first place?
We now understand that women get blamed for such things as bringing new life into this world, when we know the facts are, it takes two to produce a baby, can not do this one alone...... so why should we punish these young women and not the boy ?? We should help these young people and their baby. The baby has done nothing wrong.
That is my stance on this issue, raising three sons of my own and seeing first hand these day cares in their high school when they were that age . The day cares shocked me at first, all the young mothers with babies in their arms. However after speaking with my sons, I see how needed these day cares are ......

I absolutely agree with you. There are so many people with whom I communicate, including my classmates, teachers and parents, who think differently. I don't understand why, so I have set myself the goal of debunking this myth by preparing a speech that I want to give to the university audience that will address this problem. I want everything to go perfectly, so I need to help me write a speech, and I asked for help at I hope that we will prepare together at the highest level and I will give a speech that will change the point of view of my classmates.

Well said, it's discrimination at best and the concept is sexist to the nth defree. I mean why shouldn't the little **** that got her pregnant be suspended if hes at school with her? reword your question I say!

I am writing this post in here cause I want to piss off old Breton idiots who can write only English.

It's up to the girl. If they want to leave their education or feel unable to cope they should have support there.
If they can continue and want to, then they should have support with that.
Pretty simple, really.

I have absolutely no idea what kind of argument you are broaching here and you're not making much sense. Are you of a foreign nationality and using an online translator? If not, just get to the point instead of this word diarrhoea you keep churning out.

I thank you.

Ok, despite me being nice and avoiding your nasty provocations this is your 5th attempt to harass me with your posts all over the forum.
Now, I will be honest and direct with you cause you deserve it.

I think that you are some hardcore British moron. You are rude and you are pervy.
Also, please stop riding my name.

For your info I am French.
French teachers were the first ones in Britain when the schools opened in the past.
That's because English people were illiterate peasants and they needed teachers to educate other teachers.
Thus, many words in your English dictionary come from the French language.
Words like Freda is an imbecile.

"Au devoid", old rude bitch go and learn some other language if you want to be on my intellectual level.

Why should you be excluded from trying to create a better future for yourself (and child) just because you're pregnant? Seems unfair.
Once you take the child to classes I think that can cause an issue if the child cries during a lecture...then you're impeding on other peoples ability to improve in their future career prospects. Definitely wouldn't suspend the father either, not if he's serious about his studies and commitments. People get pregnant even with protection, why be punished for an accident?

No I do not believe so. This could probably violate some education laws an acts that are in place. However, they should be allowed to miss days for, Appointments and Delivery of the baby and afterwards, a maximum of 1 month to spend time with the new baby on a Homebound.

I won’t even go in-depth here, and I’m shocked then conjecture goes beyond, just saying no.

No, and I’m shocked people think pregnant women should be removed from school.

This is a matter of human rights and social justice. Pregnant students should not be discriminated against or excluded from educational opportunities because of their reproductive choices.

Examples: Single parent who has low income.
Examples: Education to improve their skills and prospects for the future.
Examples: Financial support to raise their children and provide for their basic needs.

If they were forced to drop out of school or face discrimination in the workplace, they may end in poverty and homelessness. This is not only unfair to them, but to their children and the society as a whole.

It’s been 17 years since the OP started this thread and 8 years since they were last seen here. Js. That said, I agree with your points.
