Lately, I’ve been reflecting on something that’s been weighing on my heart—how easy it is to lose grip on the concept of reality. It’s not something that happens overnight, but slowly, bit by bit, we start getting wrapped up in distractions, in what others tell us is “real,” or in the pursuit of things that don’t truly matter.
But here’s the truth: Reality doesn’t bend to what we wish it was. Reality is raw. It’s messy. It’s not always kind. And yet, it’s the only thing we have that’s real. We can escape into fantasies, we can drown ourselves in distractions, but at the end of the day, reality is what shapes us. It’s where we live, breathe, and grow.
I know it’s tempting to ignore the hard stuff. It’s easy to get lost in the “highlight reels” of others’ lives or in the fantasy world we build in our minds. But that only leads to disappointment. The real magic of life comes when we stop pretending and face what’s in front of us.
So, don’t lose sight of the people who truly care. Don’t lose sight of your purpose. Don’t lose sight of the world around you—because the longer we turn our backs on reality, the further we drift from what’s truly important.
Embrace the mess. Embrace the struggle. Embrace the moments that make us feel alive—even when they’re difficult, because those are the moments that shape us into who we are meant to be.
Stay grounded. Stay aware. And above all, stay real.
