Wont happen, the site is more concerned with making money than getting rid of spammers. HR has banned and unbanned this chatter numerous times even with horendous behaviour in the room as given to Chelle via PM.

Zex was banned a a couple days ago per CM guidlines. The thing you may not realize is that some users evade Bans- which means the talk of an IP ban is pointless really- however I do sympathize- spam is annoying to users and the staff-. and disrupts chat. Obnoxious posts can be ignored or reported in room.

^ That is not quite right. Site management, and every room admin here would be glad to "get rid" of spammmers, and its a daily chore- because they can evade no one can stop that. I don't see how anyone can argue this site benefits at all by having spammers disrupt rooms and annoy those users who actually support the site through VIP or in other ways. The fact is, there is no way to stop them entirely, and giving them notoriety doesn't help either .

Not a kick complaint -so moving.

That user is now banned, as are his alts. He is not welcome anymore in the General Chat, and the entire room staff will do everything possible to keep it that way. Thank you for sharing your views.

Funny, I don't post on here that much anymore but I was about ready to make a post about the spam in general chat. It's way out of hand. If I'm not getting threated with sexual assault, then chat in the main room is just impossible. This doesn't seem like a mod or admin issue either... something with the site needs to make it harder for them.
 
exactly- the issue the other night that @Akrta was talking about was Preacherman. You can tell the difference- because Preacherman completely sucks at spamming, and is able to be kicked most times before even getting a line of text typed. But yeah....all we can do is kick, and re-kick when they roll. Not sure what else I can tell you, we all do the best we can with the tools we have.

This is how this place (doesn’t) operate. Lame duck admin that either are incapable of doing their tasks or just don’t have the tools because the OS of this website is super outdated and anyone can roll their IP and get back in.

If the people who ran this place truly cared about spammers and the quality of the chatroom they would invest in more modern servers and give their moderators and admin the ability to deal with them.

Not trying to be a **** when I say this as much as it’s just the reality. Get used to it or find another chatroom.

People acting like I'm a idiot, damn get over it, I been a admin on a different site before it was hacked and another before that, I know how spammers work. Back off.

It doesn't help that @Samwise is apparently running a contest to piss off one of the spammers from what multiple people have said.

I suggested CM just disable VPNs from being used last time that room had a spammer and Samwise angrily jumped in my pms "what did I tell you about if you have suggestions or problems with the room, you go to me instead of the forums?"
 
^^^ the mods are turning a negative into a positive- and people evade , people spam, its not new in General Chat, this site or the internet. Heaven forbid a little light heartedness be used in a chatroom eh👽

It is well known, that the best place to get issues resolved is admin inbox. Less trolls to derail things there. The only thing a forums post about a spammer does is give them publicity they crave, and feeds them.

Edit: The contest is a rare event, the ******** love it, a few prizes from staff (not chat ave) because they endured some nasty spam sessions- a creative way to handle an issue by the great mods of the General Chatroom. @TheLeigh
