No need to explain. I mod a room where I frequently remove pedos and under 18s. I’ve also worked in safeguarding in real life. I know the difference between online grooming and real life physical grooming/abuse. Believe me, it’s not an all male thing.

No contradiction. In fact it’s more of a meeting of minds if your aim is to protect young girls from predators…

Kids Chat and Teen Chat are the perfect places for younger girls to go. Like Girls Chat, those rooms have excellent Mod Teams but their mods do have the power to remove anyone over the age of 17 for Kids Chat and 19 for Teen Chat.

Perhaps this is what the owners of CA have in mind to protect underage ******** - by having two rooms dedicated to them.
 
I think you really need to consider what the person is like and how they are in chat. There are male members who have helped me in main and been very decent. I do realise that some women and girls feel really uncomfortable around men but please don't tar every male as horrible, it is not just a male trait. Be more concerned about certain people and trolls who think it is funny to gaslight members and mods lacking social understanding or empathy.
 
Where there are children there are p e do philes - it's a fact of life unfortunately. I work in a child protection unit I know too well the dangers posed by perverts. Banning certain groups of people and banning users in general doesn't really really work on this site. Even in a room with say 200 users, most of them are not who they say or claim they are and only at most half a dozen to a dozen are real. The only thing anyone can do is keep your eyes open and always be on the look out for perverts and report them when you encounter them.
 
Putting in my two cents, the thing about malls isn't an out reach, also having been in a profession where harassment was semi common, it really doesn't matter. Harassment and the like can come from anyone, any age, any race, etc. By singling out the males as OP says they want to, is like going back to the days of segregation where in this case you would have a table for one gender, and a table for another. Now yes abuse can be hard to talk about, even adults have a hard time with it some times, but alas the world cannot and never will be black and white, it is a shade of gray and there are some wonderful ******** in the room who are male and follow the rules to punish them for the misdeeds of others is just wrong and should never occur.
 
It doesn't matter where girls go, creeps, weirdos and pervs will seek us out. It's the internet. What are you going to do? You can't shut it down. Ignore and Report are our best friends. I understand some girls don't want to get involved in the reporting process but sooner or later, they will.

Personally, I don't have a problem with males being in Girls Chat. As long as they are respectful and try to be part of the community and not part of the problem, I think it's okay. The key word there is community. We have at least one that chooses not to be but that's whole other tale to tell.

Otherwise, Girls Chat is a great place as long as people just follow the rules.

I’ve been watching and I’ll just say this… if you “ban” males, you’ll just add to the number of fakes that pretend to be female to talk to girls. There is no way you could ever remove all males from the chat.

I’d rather have the potential for them to come in as who they really are, then try and say they aren’t allowed at all and add to the massive number of fake accounts as it is.

20 year olds are allowed on teen chat, as long as they've been there before turning 20 tho.

That's another great point! The description of the room is very misleading. It's not safe, and not only for women.

And I totally agree with what you're saying. How come the girls chat can allow males but the boys chat, for instance, says explicitly that girls are not allowed? That's a very chauvinistic act. Boys are allowed to have a single sex space but girls aren't?

I get that point, I really do, but still seeing 40 year old men chatting with 14-15 years old girls in private messages, about God knows what, is seriously disturbing to me and that's not going to change.
I personally would have felt very uneasy if I knew my underage daughter is talking to men online even if that was about the weather.

I'm not suggesting to punish men for being men, I'm suggesting to add another layer of protection for young ******** that are looking for a safe environment, and currently it's not!
They have nothing to look for in a girls chat room, they have enough other rooms to communicate with females - such as the adult or general room (which has basically same problem).
 
I don’t specifically have a problem with men in chat. Some of the women are every bit as strange as some of the male users in chat such as clambake who often flirts with underage girls despite numerous warnings. It’s not a question of gender for me, it’s a question of whether someone is a weirdo or not, regardless of gender.

Women and girls have to stand up for our sex based rights. We have to reclaim our spaces.

Erasure of women and girls is becoming common place in western society today. Words linked to womanhood such as mother and breastfeeding are being swapped with gender neutral words like birthing parent or chest feeding. Inclusive words can feel dehumanizing to women and girls. Trans rights shouldn't come at the expense of women's gains.

Girls chat is misleading as it allows everyone regardless of their sex. It's understandable if girls chat allows transsexual women. Transsexual women cannot relate to experiences specific to women such as pregnancy, child birth and female genital mutilation as they are males who have a condition that causes their to be a mismatch in their head between their sex and how they see themselves. I'm not against every women's space banning transexuals. Every women's space should be allowed to choose how they define a woman.We can support transsexual women by allowing them to express themselves through clothing, name changes and pronouns while still defending women's sex based rights.

Males who are not transsexual have no valid reason going to girls chat. Men and boys should be respectful of women and girls by not invading our spaces. Feminine boys and men can find plenty of co ed places that are welcoming of them. We understand not every male on girls chat is a sexual predator. Some of the men on girls chat are gay men who are just wanting to gossip with their girlfriends and we love and respect our gay friends. We aren't labelling every boy and men a freak. We are however frustrated we were led to believe the chat is for women and girls.

Female sexual predators , rapists and groomers exist. We aren't trying to imply girls chat would be safe it was a single sex space. We don't have an all women are victim's and all men are sexual deviants mindset.

The males that go into girls chat are basically the ones who can;t get a female in real life. they think its a hookup room where they are guaranteed a females but 99 percent of the time whining or begging and get themselves kicked. you will see the same males daily in the room.

I've registered to the forum after examining the room for a couple of weeks and wanted to seriously discuss about a very disturbing phenomena right now in girls chat - which is the presence of adult male accounts in the chat.

Bro on the internet things are normal like this ok every person get the ignore option with there profile to use on who they want..

As this chat room is designated for girls, starting from the age of 13, I don't see how it is reasonable to allow 30-40-50 year old men be in the same room with girls at this age and allow them to private message them and God known what else. You are unintentionally making this room be available for pedophilic activity.

Bro, love have no age limit ok many people out there who are much older like in 40s or 50s and they married to much younger age you can see on YouTub.e many videos

I understand most of are bad specially on the internet it's common this is 21 century every kids 13+ understand what is good and bad and what is happening on internet

I don't think I should mention what those men are capable of and what a traumatic experience they can cause on the girls in the chat.

Every 13+ common sense before they start to use internet first they get guide things from parents good and bad even before the age 13 +

Unfortunately girls chat started pandering to troublesome males a while back, or CM did. There was a whole thing about sexist jokes and sexism in general in girls chat not too long ago, males complained and females had to moderate their behavior.

On the face of it, it is somewhat hypocritical to complain about sexism toward females if the reverse exists, but the fact that males were able and are to disrupt the room is wrong. Again I’m not against males in the room, unless you want chat to implement an ID requirement (and who would give their personal details to this site) then there is no way of stopping it. However it’s females who should shape the nature of the room.

Oh and some of the females are just as creepy as the guys, however there are certain guys who are creepy in plain site, but I assume purchasing VIP protects them

There is two that seem to get protected by vip although I have to say both are kicked and muted almost on a daily basis. If they want to pay money to be kicked and muted, thanks for your donation ! Lol

VIP does not protect pedos/creeps. VIP users, have given the site information about themselves (like their name, banking etc) and the site is always ready to assist law enforcement with that info if requested ad they know it would be foolish for them to anything but assist.... The real creeps, the most vile, tend to be hidden as guest accounts where they have a high degree of anonymity.

Vip users are in fact banned by the site, the pedos/creeps (VIP or not) get no protection here by owners or anyone else. Solid proof of creep activity can and will result in Bans, ive seen site admin do it many times.
