Suggestion

I think making it so if you ignore a user- you either can't see their reactions, or they are blocked from reacting to the one ignoring- would be my preference. (Throwing the baby out with the bath water is overkill. )

^ if that can be done, then adding more emoji's would make things less bland around here imo. #ducksmatter


edit: i'm also curious as why OP wants an emote he uses a lot- to be removed.
edit2: could make either a forums VIP feature.

I could agree with turning off the ability to see the anger face reactions, further more I think when we have someone on ignore we should have the option also not to see any reaction made by the other ignored user.
Also H.R. You may think typing something like ducklivesmatter to be witty but it does show how racially insensitive you are. I get it you don't feel blacks and other minorities have senses of humor. I dare you to come to my neighborhood and same ducklivesmatter to some of my homies. In fact I would give you 500 dollars to do so face to face not just online.

ok. I didn't say "ducklivesmatter" I said "ducks matter"

also, Ducks are not a race - but they do seem to race to snacks tossed near them.

If you’re going to accuse someone of being a racist (or a pedo or a homophobe, or a liar or any other heinous things people here get accused of), and you don’t have valid proof, the accusation is baseless. I personally haven’t seen that person make any comments that are even remotely racist. But in all fairness, that doesn’t mean it’s not out there. So why don’t you go scour the forums and find your proof.

And while you’re at it, swing by the Offensive Jokes thread and take a gander at all the racist “jokes” about black people, Asian people, Jewish people, and “jokes” about pedophilia, genocide, the mass murder of innocent children, and children who have no parents. Make sure you include all their names too. Spoiler alert: some are your buddies. 😬

Stupidity does not excuse racism and I doubt that you are that innocent.

Most people have not a clue about what Black Lives Matter Is.
It simply states that far too many young black males are killed while being detained by the police.
The movement does not stand for no one else life matters. So when Sam Wise said ducks matter too it is a slam against the Black Lives Matter movement. And I guess maybe you don't care for people of colour as well.
I expect less out of Difference who seems like a Sam Wise wannabe.

I would say the same thing if someone made a baseless claim against you or anyone else here.

I gave you the proof. Maybe you are too blind to see it or not sensitive enough. Maybe you can relate your times of unlawful detainment but the police to let us know that such a thing happens to white people on a fucking equal basis.

The issue here isn’t race inequality. That’s a given and a proven fact. And I think it sucks and isn’t fair.

The issue here is you calling someone a racist. Your “proof” of racism is that he responded to someone who suggested adding a duck emoji by saying #ducksmatter. I would hardly call that proof of a person being a racist. But that’s just me. If you were offended by it, that’s your valid feeling. But being offended and then making the leap to racism is a bit of a stretch, in my opinion.

I know exactly what BLM is, thank you very much, and it's a huge stretch to say that "ducks matter" is a slam on BLM. I don't appreciate being called racist for pointing out your baseless accusation either. Maybe you should think before making such accusations, or better yet, go outside and find a real problem to get upset about.

I don't know why on earth when you block someone they can still see everything you post. Both in chat and in forums

On any other social media site when you block someone it both prevents you from seeing their post and prevents them from seeing your posts.

I guess I can see why this will never be an option seeing as chat avenue uses third party software and has no actual developers.
