From what I've read of her she single handedly wrecked social cohesion and industry in order to fill her rich chum's wallets. Selling off public utilities was probably her worst idea and we're paying the price for that now.
I’m not sure it was a bad idea selling them off at the time. They were taxpayer subsidised industries that were a drain on taxpayer money, poorly run and with staff that had unrealistic pay demands.
