as good as any surface, i would think.

Yes. I'm faster than a lift or an escalator.

I use enough to season the food. I always taste when I salt.

Childish? That's usually playful. Downright immature and petulant would be a better description.

The KC room is really well behaved compared with some of the adult areas lol

I think they could be taken more seriously...but i also think that some of the comments in the EE comments thread are valid concerns

I hope so. It would be a shame to lose such a long standing site.

I wasn't active for 15 years...probably not tbh...i'd move on...i've been a member of dozens of online communities that have all died eventually

Would you ever start a site like this?

No...i've watched people start sites for decades in retaliation to this one and others...and the one thing they all lack is critical mass and exposure for natural growth and diversity of people dropping in regularly...that takes effort and advertising...not my jam

do you think an offshoot would actually work?

I have no idea. I suppose it would depend on initial support and then getting the word out.
