Time shortened on DMs/Chat room back log

I've noticed recently that DMs do not last as long as they previously had (used to be around 24 hours I believe.. now significantly shorter), and chat room logs used to allow you to scroll back 3 hours to catch up on what you might've missed .. however now it only allows you to go one hour back.

Whats with the shortened time frames? I don't see any reason this would be necessary.. and hell, at the least .. make it a VIP perk to have the longer time frames?

Come on.. lets get that back

Hi, there have been several changes made. Inactive accounts are deleted after about 14 days now instead of 30. As for DMs I haven’t seen them disappear before 24 hrs. But maybe I just haven’t seen it yet. I just looked and I still have a few DMs from 8pm last night. So at least 12 hrs. I’ll watch and see when they disappear.

As for why the changes made I can only guess that it might be related to server space? You could always pm chatmaster and ask.

Yea they tend to disappear after around 24 hours which is a good thing for the servers helps with the lag
 
Yeah I have just brought the issues up to Mr Admin and he has agreed to set it to 2 days as for now but this changes is for adult chats ,sex chat and ACN .I m not sure if other rooms are also having similar issues.Perhaps all the room's admin can check if they are having similar issues.

I don’t think the OP was “moaning”. They were simply asking a question. It’s important that people feel comfortable asking questions and it’s even more important that staff make an effort to answer those questions. Just my opinion.

It doesn’t matter if the owner wants to answer that question he’s entitled to he didn’t make it public for people to question it so therefore they shouldn’t be asking questions about the SCIPT ! It’s a owners choice if they want to make changes and they do not have to answer to no1 and won’t and apps a staff below a super admin can’t answer these questions because he didn’t give you power to make these changes SO it’s not a question staff can answer or do you ain’t got the power to do it only the owner and super-admin knows why they did it

Well I don’t give a shite what he said or didn’t say , the fact remains the pms were at one point 7 days then it was 3 days then 24 hours, we are paying customers and have every single right to question the company why things have changed, why don’t you worry about your own site for a change ? You seem to be wanting to be here more and moaning about your own website here more than anything , rack off ffs , do everyone a favour and delete yourself from the entire internet.

Yes it helps alleviate server constraints but at the cost of reduced features.

It is especially disheartening because these features were better before the update, thus the complaints.

It's like ordering your BLT with added pickles but being told they'll have to remove the bacon in order to add pickles.

Nowhere in this thread have staff given any information that isn’t common knowledge. No “secrets” have been divulged. No throats have been “cut”.
