In short unfortunately it's not against the rules for them to be in the room.
When you first log in it states the following:
This room has been created for girls only. If you are a boy then please choose another room.
So as such it asks them to find another but doesn't say they aren't allowed.
Secondly in the rules it states the following:
You agree this is for girls, "chicks", women and gals. This is not a community for boys to meet girls.
Again doesn't say they can't be there but implies them to be respectful as its not a dating room.
Unfortunately most who come in arent like that and when alerted to inappropriate behaviour the mods take action.
Its down to us all to report any inappropriate activity using the report function regardless of who it is.

We cant kick for inappropriate choices, only for rule breaches.
Use the ignore button as much as you can, and report any untoward behaviour in the room via the report system.
We encourage you and others not to play into the hands of certain ******** who want attention through poor behaviour and please please use the above option.

I was on there last night as you know, and I can empathize and understand why the women feel this way. All of the men I saw joining were either pretending to be moms or asking for inappropriate things. I've yet to hear of any male reg who isn't there to disrupt chat or be a pervert.
I'd imagine there's a lot of women there with stories to tell and find Girls chat to be a safe haven, and people like the monobrow who won't be mentioned, trigger some sort of anxiety, stress or ptsd.
As a younger mod the teens have tended to come to me more than most. I know for a fact we have girls in there who come form horrible back grounds and they chat to escape their lives for a short time. Most of them have issues with horrible males in their lives. They do find it very hard when men are just in there let alone play the games some do.
It isn't guy hating for most of us its just a desire to just hang with other girls in peace.
I know people will say they shouldn't be there but for many they have no options in their lives, they wont until old enough to escape their homes.
it was nice seeing a nice visitor from another room

I am going to put my mod hat on (well former mod) although an open forum possibly isn't the best place to discuss this. The nature of this friendship and how it started is very important.
In main chat mods can see the contact between adults and minors and keep an eye on things. Adults PM'ing minors in chat is heavily discouraged. PM's can be used by adults to manipulate minors etc. Adults can convince minors not to reports things to mods.
So this isn't a question of the friendship between a female and a male, it's a question of the nature of the friendship between a young adult and a minor. My best advice to you is keep your chats with people outside of you age group (13-17) in main chat. The aim of this is to protect you. But if you have any concerns at all PM a mod or the admin.
Apologies this is slightly rambling, but I'm trying the best way to word things 🙂

Well i talk to him in both. It's nothing inappropriate though. He hasn't even mentioned reports or mods. You're not rambling at all. Tbh i felt bad for him ik he's 20 but he's been a great friend. We mostly do Pm's bc it's kinda hard to keep up with texts in main when there's 30 people texting. -Sorry if i'm breaking rules.
It’s really a shame that staff can’t enforce the *intent* of those statements. Because the intent is clearly that no males should be allowed.
I would just urge you to be VERY careful in your interactions with people online. You have absolutely no idea who you’re talking to. They can tell you all sorts of things about their age, situations, issues, etc. but you have absolutely no idea if any of it is true or not.
There are many people who are very skilled at manipulating other people, especially minors. It’s called grooming and you need to be very careful and watchful.
Just to be clear, I’m not saying that’s what’s happening with the guy you’re talking about. I’m just saying in general.

Even if he really is 20, he’s still an adult and you’re still a minor. Just saying please be careful, that’s all.

this is exactly why mods need to be careful with who they talk to and friend, as i've pointed out 100 times if not more, it builds trust with the wrong people, and then people trust them and get hurts, its why its dangerous hiring people that don't know the room it users, cos the predators at it a while jump straight on them knowing they'll get responses and their trust levels through the roof instantly.
and to a not small degree regulars as well, there is a lot that goes on that people know about, but still play nice in main, it just perpetuates the problem. But this has been a problem for along as GC has existed , the majority will say alot of stuff in PM wanting people gone or banned, whilst playing all happy family's in main.
The biggest dangers and problems in the room, arnt the obvious creeps waving red flags and putting their intent all over main between kicks, its the ones that build up a name and use that to further their own agendas.
the best example right now would be that most people know who is friends with and to blame for maks, yet as time goes on, they'll get bad mouthed in privates, and hugs and hi's in main. and so the problems persist 😀

Unfortunately, this is still a common problem because the rules of the room say that men are welcome as long as they behave themselves. The problem is that most people don't do this. Also, as mentioned above, the problem is that many different people, guests but also members, can have bad intentions and that is why the advice is to be careful with anyone you trust. They can appear very differently than you think and in retrospect really hurt you and therefore be a good lesson for the future. Believe me, I have experienced this many times in Girls. So be careful ! 🙂
