Torn between two tails! (Cat or Dog)

When I get a pet I can't decide if I should get a cat, or a dog... I love dogs because of how playful, loyal, and loving they can be. They would cheer me up all of the time. Whereas with a cat I can have the same effect, but with a more mellow tone. and I like the idea of a cat crawling around and being all stealthy-like. Also if I were to get a cat I can train the cat to use the litter box whereas Id need to take the dog out a lot since I live at an apartment.

Depends ultimately if you want a companion or a very part time companion (if that)? Majority of cats are off sleeping and doing their own thing most of the day but usually dogs are there with you.
