What type of names do you normally choose for your pets?

Traditional pet names like Fido, Snowy, Fang, or Whiskers?

Human names (names you could call a baby) like Bella, Max, Poppy, or George?

or do you tend to use a mixture of both?

well I had a Jaye (rip) and I have a kallie and a buddie but I did not name any of them .. I tend to choose bad names so just as well :lol:
 
Poodle's named Leo. I considered naming my Dalmatian Bruno as well, but Oreo was cuter. Don't really mind either way, a name is a name.
 
Well, most of my pets names have been 'pet' names.. but I don't go out of my way to make sure it doesn't have a human name. 🙄
 
I couldn't call my pet a human name. I'd be fearful of scolding the pet one day and upsetting a child with the same name.

a cat named missy jo
a dog named annie mae
a dog named lady
a cat named socks
a cat named boots
a dog named trixie
 
Animal names for animals 😱 I thinks it's very weired calling a dog Jeff of Daniel, etc :lol:

Although the names you mentioned Bella, Max, Poppy seem OK for animals but generally no 😱

My cat was called Pebbles :sly:

^ Yeah i'd consider Poppy purely because it's a flower as well as a name.


I have an aunt with a cat called Graham, I just think that's a stupid name for a pet. In her defence the children next door to her named it but still.

I hope you look after her properly. I have heard these Melancholys tend to bite if they are not treated like Princesses.
 
I think for me it's a mixture of both. They are names you could name a person, but it would be an unusual name. I have Eevee, Jubilee, Yuki, and Poe. All four are girls. <3
