I've come across a fair number of sites using the exact same chatting system, so I know these two features are available (as they are widely used), and it would be really really amazing if they could be implemented.
a) the timer notice
- It is very very frustrating to compose voice messages and not have a single clue when exactly they will expire, often (almost always) leading to messages being cut off, and for the very few of us who use voice messages, we have to go back, re-listen to the end of the prior message, to repeat and continue what we were trying to say so that the message goes through.
b) a longer duration of being able to speak
- most sites that enable this feature have the timer set to two minutes, which is more than enough for someone who may (like myself, and select others) want to expand or elaborate on thoughts or ideas. the feature to end the message is readily available once we are finished speaking, regardless of the allowable duration set, making dealing with messages that give ample time to speak much much easier, than voice messages that give little to no time to actually talk about a point without making multiple messages and polluting main / wherever else conversation may be happening.
Voice messaging can really enrich the chat experience, for those of us who are very comfortable being on mic (like myself), it'd mean a *lot* if both the notification timer, and longer duration were put in place.
Thank you very much for considering my suggestions, I look forward to hearing back from you soon!
