It’s with great regret and sadness that I announce the death of legendary actor James Earl Jones at age 93.
Jones, known for iconic roles such as Mufasa in The Lion King, King Jaffe Joffer in Coming to America, Thulsa Doom in Conan the Barbarian, Narrator of “The Raven” on Simpson’s original Treehouse of Horror, numerous other guest star roles and his most icon roles of the voice of Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies.
Jones has received Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globes and Academy Awards, earning him the converted EGOT. He’s received many other accolades and awards over a career extending 69 years.
With a voice as recognisable as Sir David Attenborough, he will be sorely missed.
