I am on day 5 of an accidental 6 month ban. Not mad about it, things happen and sometimes the wrong person is kicked or a mistake is made.
The bigger issue is that the person who can fix those kinds of errors is not here much at all to be able to fix those errors. I've seen it with other people as well, and usually there is a lot of waiting around for it to be corrected. This is only speaking for video chat, not sure how the other rooms work in regards to correcting erroneous bans or misclicks.
I think that if the admin is trusted with the authority to issue long term bans, maybe the site should also give the admin the ability to undo them when they need to, or at the least the webmaster should have someone else who is around more often with the ability to undo them when requested. It seems like a lot of extra unneeded work to have to send messages, and wait days, sometimes weeks for a response to an unban request from a room admin. Why not simplify it and let the admin be able to take care of it themselves?
