Video Game Rants

That one boss just proving too much? Did your game crash & you hadn't saved? Did you lose your save file that had 100% completion? Or did you break a controller raging at FIFA?

This thread is for everyone to share their gaming rage rants & frustrations, whether it be something memorable from your past or something that happened 5 minutes ago! We all know games come with loads of frustrating mechanics, so I figured it would be cool to have a place we can all rage and console each other over our frustrations 😛

What's bugging my t*ts right now is fast travel in Witcher 3. It suuucks having to go to fast travel points to actually fast travel. I feel like they should have at least had it that if you were mounted on Roach, you could fast travel. It's the worst if you get stuck out in the middle of nowhere & have to trek it to the next FT point!

The thing that has been bugging me the most recently has to be my GTAV issues.

I've been playing GTAV online for years. At this point I probably have ~800 hours. I got up to ~600 hours before getting banned for a month for reasons that are still unknown to me to this day. Some of my peers have suggested it was the type of AV I was using at the time. So I went on a long hiatus returning after about 8 months to get back into it only to find the Oppressor MkII has changed the game entirely (anyone who has played online recently would know what I'm talking about).

Now, when I got banned for a month, I assumed I would keep all my content. I had pretty much everything at this point including Explosive Sniper Rounds. But nope, everything disappeared.

So it was time to start the grind again.

Luckily, they were running 2x and 3x events the week I rejoined and for the next 4 weeks I got very lucky with increased business values, I/E values etc. Racked up quite a few million for the Oppressor and Savage and almost owned all the real estate again.

And then the problems started.

You were probably thinking I was ranting about the Oppressor or the ban. Those things I can deal with. What happened next was the drop in FPS.

Up until this point I was enjoying smooth game play. I had to nuke all the graphics settings to actually run it smoothly, but it worked and I was happy. From out of the blue I started suffering intermittent bouts of 1-5 FPS.

This made it absolutely impossible to play. Can't race. Can't PVP. Took ages to get from point A to point B.

I tried absolutely everything to fix the problem. Re-installations, killing background applications, reinstalling Windows itself and re-flashing the BIOS. I even picked the thing apart to clean out the fan and replace the RAM with something a little chunkier. I tinkered with the NVIDIA control panel, I disconnected my second monitor, you name it I tried it.

Nothing worked.

Not that any of this made sense to me anyway, I had been playing the game YEARS with no problem. I finally figured it might just be the Australian summer and quit playing.

It's really disappointing, for all the flaws the game has it's still a marvelous game to play even now it's become quite aged. In fact, it's a shame how obsessed Rockstar is with pushing Shark Cards and tailoring the game to a grind game because it's so good.

I think I've spent enough time with the game now. Looks like this one will probably end up sitting in my library unplayed again for months to come.

Playing KCD right now and nearly everytime I go to trade with a trader, Henry blacks out and I can't do any form of trading, resulting in me having to back out/in of the screen 10-15 times before it finally works.

Also, there are NO rabbits anywhere in the woods. It's unbelievable.
