At one point someone could gift a VIP to anyone by paying the fee and username, now you need to have the email address. Yes I recall how a few users did not want the VIP gifted to them for whatever reason and that is understandable. I feel like the VIP should return to the username system and if the user does not want it they can notify a mod or admin who can then take the steps to remove it. This very well may increase the number of VIP therefore creating more revenue for the site. Just a idea to consider.

What room is the email needed to gift VIP? Having mods/admins have an ability to remove VIP status would probably be quite an administrative burden, and goes against the long standing policy that VIP purchases etc are CM domain.

And how does mod/admin ability to to remove VIP "very well may increase the number of VIP" ?

Adult chat, you need to have the other persons email... There's your answer
 
You have to take into consideration those that are gifted VIP and didn't ask for nor want it, I have seen complaints about this very thing and while admins do have the ability to remove/give VIP I'm sure we have all been warned to never touch it, I know I was told that.

I'm not entirely sure if this new system is site wide or isolated to Adult Chat but in any event they obviously have their reasons for the new system.
 
sure they do have reasons, and like you said Admin can remove it. If its stated in vip form it can be removed at users request money not refunded it would generate more revenue, Just thought
