Sorry, I care more about children and innocent people's rights over gun rights. An AR 15 isn't going to protect you from Blackhawk missiles and tank shells. The amendment was made before we had this gun problem and before the UN was formed, which would step in if our government went rogue. Your AR 15 does you no good against a military.

The only Amendment to ever be added to the constitution repealing another amendment was the 21st Amendment and it was passed to give BACK a right of the people not take it away. The thing about the 2nd Amendment is that if you do not want to own a fire arm there is nothing mandating that you do. But just because you do not agree with it doesn't give you the right to demand that others don't. In the US the benefits of having access to a fire arm far out weigh the benefits of taking them away from the law abiding public. This is why when one party controls both the house and the senate they haven't changed the 2nd amendment. Regardless what other countries have done.

Yes the Constitution and laws can be changed and rewritten, but as a country of laws even when Obama had control of all branches of government and a majority to cover a filibuster, his administration did not have the votes to change the second amendment.
