So I was in Girls Chat earlier as it’s the room I Chat in and the room I love and have made many good friends over the years. And I despicable guest by the name of Nick said he wanted to f**k one of my friends who is a minor. I won’t say her age out of protection for her because it’s irrelevant. But she’s a minor. And all he got was a mute and a warning. If chatter safety if number one why was t this person removed from chat immediately? There can be no good defense of allowing someone like that to remain 😖

My warning to him was for a PM in which he was sexually harassing an adult. No reports were made by you or anyone else if he addressed a minor. Do you have screenshots of his message to this minor?

Also in the above screenshot, you are in a PM with a minor which you know is against the rules.

Lastly, why have you waited hours after Mango or myself logged out to post these screenshots and not address them at the time? We live in the same time zone. All this is very strange.
 
without seeing what happened and the lack of information, i would break it down into 2 simple parts.

1) There is no threshold for it at all, anyone sexually harassing a minor in anyway should be gone instantly

2) Was it intentionally targeting the minor, did the said user messaging and messaged have their age visible, was the creep just messaging everyone without checking.
In any way shape or form did the creep know the age of the member before it messaged them.

The answer to 2, effects if 1 is applicable,, personally i would still kick because if they arnt checking that before asking something sexual, that is on them and its a lesson they will learn for next time to make sure to know the age before doing something stupid again, because intentional or not a minor has still been exposed to that kind of behaviour.

That being said, if they didn't know or had no way of knowing, its more a case of stupid perversion not targeted and malicious perversion, the option of more incremental "re-education" is open for debate, depending on the who, the what, the impact and a few more variables that are not shown here to give a more direct answer.

But generally speaking not even the most lenient of mods would let that behaviour slide, so really comes down to what was known, what was seen, and if there is genuine concern here or just trying to further a personal agenda. I feel if there was genuine negligence here and proof of mods being aware and not acting it would of been taken straight to the admin and or CM.
Where as the forums as of late have just become a continuation of room personal agendas and grandstanding, which is fair enough, but certain topics that involve vulnerable users should not be used to this end.

The other thing to note here is that over 18's should not be PMing under 18's under any circumstances, so digging this hole too deep is likely not to end well.
 
The reason I didn’t mention anything sooner is because I thought all that was gonna be done had been done. So I wanted time to process it. And like is always said, sometimes I don’t take immediate action on things.

The reason I don’t have a screenshot of what he said is because it was deleted by a mod. So that’s that. Otherwise I would’ve shared it as well.

As for my PM the person is a friend of mine and sometimes they *gasps* message me something. So that’s that. And also the person is on your friends list as well. And Cuddles you asked me once to PM a user who’s a minor to ask them something on your behalf. So again, that’s that.

So no agenda here, just bringing up the question and sometimes a public forum is a good way to do so.
 
i think my friends list is all staff or exstaff but ill take your word for it i never check it and as far as i can remember never accept any requests.

And yes, if someone or a group of people is in a vulnerable situation i will of asked someone they had already been speaking to about or, or already had knowledge about it to enquire further to save people having to go through the same experiences again and again.

If them conversations should of been going on before hand or not is a completely different situation, but at the time the main concern was dealing with the predator in a way that didn't put the victims under any more stress going through it with more people that weren't already involved. whilst at the same time making sure it didn't happen to others.

Them conversations ongoing already at the time being right or wrong is always something that will be held in the balance of if it poses a risk or not. as do all interactions between over 18's and under 18's on a constantly sliding scale. based on how often, how many, main or private.

Best case scenario it shouldn't be happening, and people should be going straight to a mod or admin they can trust and there would be no need for any back and forth, and there shouldn't be any on going conversations in PM's that then need highlighted to staff.
 
And I just wanna say that nothing was meant to target @Simply Karina its just you were the only mod chatting in main at the time. And yea Cuddles I do remember that creep from back then and I remember who he was targeting attempting to groom. I’m glad we got rid of him.
