yeah gotta love itOh the drama 🙄
If that is what you got out of this, then its worse than I thought, and there is no fixing anything. Jesus man. Seeing things that need worked on does not automatically equal hatred of mods. Maybe if you take some time and speak to people in the room about some of this stuff, like Lemongrab was doing before, some of the mistrust and hostility would go away, like it did when Ness was pushed out.All i'll say is Monster is you took alot of liberties over my responses. Can't be bothered to reply. I'm just done with your blatant disregard of facts and amazed at your ability to turn everything around to your hatred of that mod.
Universal Mods/Forums Mods you can close this. I'm done.
good job pookie
Get a fucking life,I know how this is going to go, so I don't know why I am even bothering with it. Tell me how so and so is a bad person, they are doing it on purpose, and how they deserve it, or how I don't know the whole story blah blah balah. It's not even about me, but it's whatever.
When Ness was removed, things improved dramatically in the room, and it was like a breath of fresh air. People were getting along with the mods again, and a lot of that bad blood was almost gone, and it was nice to be able to have a good time without anyone showing up and ruining the vibe with nonsense.
What we are seeing is moderation based on feelings, and we are seeing mods injecting themselves into conversations, telling chat what they can and can't talk about when there are not even any rules about it, inventing rules on the spot, and generally just showing up and sucking the fun right out of the room. It's to the point where myself and more regulars that you think are on the verge of just giving up on the place, unless we get a grip on things.
The big issue is that the mod actions are taken unevenly, and certain people are being policed to death for such trivial things that nobody else gets messed with about. Like today, we were just doing the usual chat thing, and pwurring once again gets hit with a mute for the dumbest thing that nobody else would have been muted over, because she is an "abuser" according to the mute message. "disrupting the room" by asking why a dude there was calling himself a Teacher gets her muted, while other people spam about their penis, beg the women to take their clothes off, and genuinely ARE disrupting the room. Eddie can repeat "show feet" every 3 minutes, and it's not disruptive, but got forbid someone on the "sh*t list" says anthing at all that can technically be considered even slightly outside the rules, and it's a big deal.
This is not even just about that specific thing either, it's about the trend of being overly harsh on certain people when it's not called for, while totally ignoring every other person who does the same things. Half the chat can dog pile on stiffy and talk crap to him for hours at a time on a daily basis, including some of the mods at times, but when it's personal, any reason to mute someone will do.
If we really care that much about that sort of thing, then where is the justice for stiffy? How come I myself am not being muted regularly for talking much worse smack to the pests? How come we are not enforcing the disruption rules when half the chat is describing how they are wanking, or how they want to jizz on random girl's faces constantly?
I think what we need to understand is that it's not just one person you are running off when you are overly aggressive, but it's them, and half the people they know that leave with them, and half the people that those people know. The room sees this stuff happen, and then they get annoyed by it as well, and then that leads to more bad feelings about the mods. The real point here is that if the same standards are being used for everyone, then at least half the chat would be muted at all times, and not just the handful of people that certain mods have decided are the primary targets.
Yeah, we are all about the "spirit of the rules" and not just blindly enforcing them to the exact letter, until it's someone we personally have a problem with. At that point, any little deviation is enough to go after them, while at the same time not noticing 20 other people doing worse things at the same time.
That's my rant. Go ahead and ignore it and justify why I am wrong, but we all know that the rules are absoultely not enforced evenly, so let's not insult everybodies intelligence by acting otherwise.
ok i'll reply to your 7 points in order.
1. Make sure all users get equal treatment, and that we apply the rules evenly to everyone.
You know that as the mod or admin, or whatever you are, you can just NOT **** the guests over, right? Guests can also sign up, and then guess what? They are registered members. How can you act like treating people fairly is a no go, because certain levels of membership get different perks?
I don't think you quite get how bad that makes you sound.
2.If one person does not get messed with about something, nobody should be messed with about the same thing.
I mean cool, I guess? That had nothing at all to do with my point, but okay. We can explore this.
After that person(s) got banned, we were then told by the mod who banned her that even saying the name of the person who died was against the rules, regardless of context. Make fun of someone else who died, and it's okay, but not the person that this mod personally got upset over.
Again "You upset me by saying something I personally do not like, so now it's against the rules"
3.If one thing is kick/mute/ban worthy for one person, it is for all persons.
how does makeup get a 30 day ban for doing a bump on cam, but the person who was way more wasted and doing a lot more drugs at the same time get a pass? Oh wait, the person who banned her is also the person who was carrying a grudge about her talking smack on mic, and banned her for that before too, over a gesture no less.
Rule #1, do not personally offend thy mod.
4.Maybe sticking to the stated rules of chat too would be nice, without needing to create rules on the spot.
Let me get this straight. You can't get them to pass certain rules, so the solution is to just make rules up yourself anyhow, and enforce them like they are real? Do you see the disconnect here?
5.Mods should never use personal feelings when making a decision
Right, I get it but let's be serious about this.
If one of your mods can't separate their personal feelings from the job, maybe they should not be using the mod account. If someone making a gesture on cam that you don't like triggers you and makes you ban them, then maybe that person is not really mod material. If you are kicking people who use the word "bastard" in their name because you personally think that word is offensive, while you are having a nice chat with Mr "hornycock4U10", maybe the job aint for you. How many examples do you want?
6.Mods should use a light touch whenever possible
except not really though. I am there pretty much daily, more than you are. You know what DOES rile chat up though? When the mods come through and carpet-bomb the place for stupid ****, and then it turns into half the chat trying to tell that mod to chill the **** out, and relax a little.
You want the truth? Even with the occasional spammers and weirdos, chat flows so much better without the mods there killing the vibe with petty ****. If we could just chill out and deal with the crazy ****, and leave people alone for the most part, there is not an issue.
7.Consider the spirit of the rules, and what the rule is intended to prevent. The no capslocks rule is a solid example, intended to prevent half the chat from using them constantly, just to stand out more. Not really intended to stop occasional use for a moment here and there.
I mean come on, use your head, Shaggy. There is obviously a difference between someone using caps to say "OMG GUYS I AM SO EXCITED!!" and "HEY GIRLS DAD WITH FAT COCK ON CAM LETS CUM XXX"
If the mods are too stupid to see that distinction, then it's a complete lost cause. Give them some more credit than that, dude.
That's half the problem. You complain that nobody gets back to you, and that chatmaster does not care, and then here you are saying how you yourself do not care. You can invent rules and allow people to be kicked/muted/banned based on made up rules, because chatmaster wont approve your new rule suggestions, but you are powerless to adapt the mod style of your team to be more reasonable? Come on now.
You get that there are other places to go, and that most of the regulars are already there, yes? Maybe don't keep pushing them away when you don't need to.
Dude, I know right!Cam chat has the best drama. 🍿
Yup you guys are right. What was I thinking with my stupid ideas. Of course people should be treated differently, depending on who they are, and how much the mods like them. Enforcing the rules evenly would be a dumb idea and only lead to disaster. We should 100% make sure the room is more about who is jacking off, and all about begging the women who still come there. The evils of using caps occasionally really mess up the flow of begging and spamming about our penises. Why mess with such a perfectly good formula?
I should have just dumbed my point down so that a 6 year old could understand it, without any scary words. I sometimes forget how many people have the reading comprehension level of a child, and can't grasp ideas when you put them in entire sentences. I can't believe how stupid I was.
