Where did you get your pet??

I got both of my dogs from a rescue group. My cat is the daughter of my brother-in-law's cat from when he was totally irresponsible and didn't get her fixed. And my bearded dragon I got from a reptile specialty shop.

When I was 11 or so... I asked my parents for a "Furreal" cat-like toy because I really wanted a kitty. I ended up getting my little sweetheart for Christmas that year. Definitely a Furreal. 😀 I'll never forget how small she was, and she is still small for her age as well to this day.

We adopted her from the local animal shelter. The volunteers said "she's very timid at first with people." We sat in the play area waiting for them to bring her in for a visit and when she came through that door, she looked at us and jumped right up onto my lap and nudged her head under my chin. It was love at first sight.

One of my two dogs I purchased as a puppy from a breeder.
Found my cat in a storm drain on the side of the road.
And I found my second dog off a highway.

I adopted my little furry child from a animal shelter. I couldn't imagine my life without him in it. Best dog ever!!!!!

My 1.5 Cents Worth

My 1.5 Cents Worth

Wittle Silly (cat) came from one of our old pastors. His cat had a litter. The girls picked one. I was the first real person Wittle Silly ever knew, so I become her new mother (sorta). We got her in 2004. She has had two litters of her own, before being "fixed" (as they say here). The ol girl is 12, and getting 'round just fine. She's Daddy's girl. She tolorate's Rudy fine. Silly is a black and white "tuxedo" cat, with white shoes (paws). She's very "street smart" and goes in and out (at all hours). She holds her own with the wild animals of the night. The wife isn't a "animal person", but you can tell she cares for the cat and the dog a lot.

Rudy (dog); A young girl lived at a rental home belonging to my brother. I would often visit my brother. One day that girl had to move, but could not take Rudy with her. So it was either I take her in, or she goes to the shelter. I've noticed the lil dog a few tmes before, and I always thought she was a cool little dog. So, against my wife's wishes, I went to pick her up. Turns out, we were a perfect match. Although she is high maintenance, she deserves it and she gets it. She'll jump so high, I can catch her, roll her over and hold her like a baby, lol. Rudy is a medium/light brown, or tan dog. She's a Rat Terrior mix/sooner, with a very "uplifting, happy" personality. Esitmated age, give or take, 4 to 6 years old. The wife sez..."she's no baby, ya know"? I said, "I beg to differ ma'am.....she's Daddy's baby".
"Sooner" you ask? It's a phrase around here describing mix breed animals. "Sooner to be one breed as the other".
I guess I can't add a pic.

Both cats that I have were pretty much found on the street. The oldest cat I have was found when I moved into this house almost 17 years ago. Then a 2nd cat Ive got now was found in a dumpster but the cat was quite friendly, came out of the dumpster and rubbed against my leg and even let me pick it up and so I took the cat home with me.

My cat adopted me...she just showed up at my house one day. i got my male rat from petsmart and my female rat from a local pet shop.

My husky I bought from a breeder she was stolen from me 5 years later. I adopted this time his name is Jaba and he's a awesome little dude!
