Well, it's chip spice, not a sauce so very different. It's somewhat like pepper in texture but it contains salt, tomato, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder, and is sprinkled over chips (or fries for those of you in the USA) and it should be mandatory lol

I ought to add that it's compulsory at the seaside, along with vinegar, and MUST be accompanied by a nice piece of cod or haddock and eaten from the paper, perhaps sat by the harbour. But beware those pesky seagulls lol

Not a single condiment is consistently the best. Some situations are better suited for specific condiments. Catchup, mustard, mayonnaise, olive oil, soy sauce, hot sauce, and BBQ sauce are the fundamental condiments for so many recipes.
