Why are Arabic letters banned?

Hi, I'm an Arabic-speaking user and I remember that couple month ago I used to be able to chat using Arabic letters (جحخهعغفقثصضطكمنتالبيسشدظزوةىرؤءذ...) but then they were banned and whenever I try to use them it says:"
Warning

Our system detected restricted characters in your text. Please use standard text in your messages. Only VIP members are able to use fancy style fonts. If there is a specific emoji or text you feel should not be blocked, please contact us to let us know."
Can you please unban them because there's many Arabic users using this website, thank you.

Hello, from what I have heard, those characters won’t be allowed any longer. You could always message @ Chatmaster (no space) and see if they would consider it. Good luck

There was a troll spammer who spammed in Arabic and that’s probably what lead to it not being allowed, hope my input helps

It depends on the room ( maybe they're still working on it ) I just tested this on an account that's not VIP and it didn't give me any warning.

What room do you use?
 
From what I understand, there are two factors at play here:

1) This is an English language chat site. The staff being able to understand conversations is vital to keeping the chat safe.

2) There have been an influx of unsavory chätters advertising and selling illegal content. In a attempt to combat this issue, a large amount of special symbols (even emojis) that were persistently in their messages have been recently banned from the site.

Although you have always been required to speak English in main chat and have only English on your profile, some rooms have allowed non-English chat in PMs. If you were able to speak Arabic in PMs several months ago and now are not able to, it's likely because of the second reason I've provided.
