Why are not all lesbians allowed in Lesbian Chat?

Lesbians do not have to be 17 years old or older to be lesbians. Yet, Lesbian Chat does not allow anyone under the age of 17. Why?

It's like saying, "Hey, Thanks for being a lesbian, but you can't be one here, so go away and deal with it someplace else".

It won't stop younger girls from lying about their age, so why not just let them in? That is, unless the basics of the room have become sexual in nature, and to have younger girls in the room would somehow damage its reputation (?). Or, maybe it would upset the men that have taken up residence in the room who are trying to make the room into something more adult, rather than PG-13.

Is it just me or do any of you girls think that the age should be lowered to allow younger lesbians, thus creating more Users and possibly VIPs?

What do you girls think? Please, let us all hear what you have to say but please keep your comments clean. After all, LC is still 'supposed' to be PG-13, and the same rules that apply there apply here.

You need to use a better argument if you want yours to be taken seriously. Using your logic is like saying "remove all age restrictions from bars, let kids buy guns and knives because they'll get booze, guns and knives anyway".

You gripe an awful lot about men and perverts visiting Girls Chat and Lesbian Chat but now you want to allow children into Lesbian Chat. That makes no sense at all.

As Annie says, Teen Chat is there for that where teens can talk with other teens on any issue and that's perfectly reasonable. Teen Chat has specific rules in place to protect younger ********, with mods who are well trained on what to look out for to support ******** and protect them from undesirables.

By implication, you seem to be suggesting that, by not allowing minors into the room, the admin is allowing men to turn the room into an adult room. Perhaps @flame_song would like to comment.

Remember CA has an absolute minimum age of 13 for all rooms. If you want to use ^ this argument, you need to take it up with Chatmaster to allow anyone capable of accessing the Internet to use Chat Avenue.
 
I mean... There's Girl's chat for younger gay or bisexual girls to chat (13+).

...Just no. I've seen how Gay chat is. No ty. We have a growing group of regs that chat in LC every day. I believe that is the goal set in motion by @flame_song

It tends to be highly sexual in the room by unregged/regged and hell sometimes even vip users, you cannot count on anyone to follow the rules even when mods are present, so typically the age is going to lean more towards the adult side, there's teen chat as mentioned, as well as girl chat, even a video game chat, also, age can deffo try to be lied about, however these mods be crafty.
