As our admin has said, the topic is allowed in General Chat, provided it is conversed with respect and civility, and mods are allowed to engage in discussions. Any attacks are to be reported and we shut down numerous discussions when all parties cannot have mature discussions about any topic, not just politics.

Hi, if a room allows political discussions, and the staff have the time to participate in room conversations and still perform their mod duties, and the room admin allows that type of participation, there’s nothing intrinsically wrong with mods joining in the chats.
That said, they should follow the rules of the room and not cause disruptions and treat people with respect, as all chattters should.

I agree Brock but there is a mod who does take politics too personally. Saying Trump sucks is not a bad thing. People are saying that world wide.
Also, more directly related to your post, if you have proof that this is happening you should provide it here and the room admin will review it.
As I said, it’s not being engaged with respect. It’s usually, you guys are liars etc etc. hence my post

Which is this - a complaint or a general discussion? Are you seeking a response from the room admin?
And that’s exactly why many rooms don’t allow political or religious discussions.

This is why I don't chat in General. The mod baits users then kicks them when they say Trump is a dicktator.

I’m not sure what position you’re looking for me to clarify. Politics and Religion are allowed to be discussed in the room per the owner, and mods are still chatters just with extra buttons and extra rules.

Would be nice if they made a room solely for political discussion and got rid of it from all other rooms.
Any VIP engaging in the topic, is free to make a side room for that purpose at anytime. In fact, we encourage it be taken to a side room or PM.
Heck I would make one for them on request if it helped clear up main for a period.

Find a way around the politics, as you can see the current arrangement for the room is staying as is.
Lets be clear, you can debate all you want, just dont cross over into personal attacks and using banned words or content. I am not saying you in particular are, but the others who clap at Jose claiming he actions them for innocent politics discussion, are actually getting actioned for the latter. Which as we know, doesnt make for a good clickbait thread title.
Keep it in the lines is all we ask.

No not at all. The complaint is the mod is baiting others. Such as Obama deporting 35 thousand immigrants without noting all had due process and if you point out Trump is a Dicktater then boom he kicks.
No the OP clearly says engaging, another meaning for discussing.
Baiting is what you and bumblebee keep claiming. Separate matter. Lets also be frank, its not baiting you, its his opinion, just because its responded to with rule infractions, doesnt mean thats why it resulted in a kick.

I highly doubt anyone was kicked for JUST saying that exactly, without adding in an expletive or personal attack as well, or having it be a continuation after being told to shut the conversation down. Context is always key.
IF I am wrong, id love to see a kick screen showing that being the kick reason.

lol. No one is being actioned for saying bad things about Trump. They’re being actioned for breaking room rules while simultaneously saying bad things about Trump.
As always, any screenshots to support claims are always welcome, and (because this is at least the 2nd time I’m mentioning it) they’re also clearly encouraged. I’ve always been more than willing to sort out complaints and issues - this one is no different.

That seems a little "H.R.", type logic. I have seen Jose bait ******** that do not agree with him politically. He needs to stop his conspiracy Q Anon crap. He keeps saying that Trump lust in 2016 because of fraud. He belittles democratic presidents. Then after getting a passionate chatter triggered enough and they type F*** Trump he boots them. Mods can and do ******** they don't like. But to bait them into breaking a rule makes Jose as guilty as the chatter he boots.
If Jose was baiting chatters to action them, he’d no longer be a mod because I have zero tolerance for that. Every mod in that room knows what’s expected of them, and they’ve been great about adhering.
You’re (again) making a bunch of claims, but I have still yet to see any screenshots supporting any of them. If you have them, though, please do send.
I’m not sure what the end goal is here, but at best, any incorrect behaviors would be corrected and we’d all still carry on as normal.

Most rooms ban it. Like I said, would be nice if it was banned and relegated to its own room. OR required it be conducted in a side room. It's an easily corrected problem yet for the 10 years I've been here, that seems to elude CM.
