Willis Reed Jr. was an American professional basketball player, coach, and general manager. He spent his entire professional playing career with the New York Knicks. In 1982, Reed was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In 1996, he was voted one of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History". In October 2021, Reed was again honored as one of the league's greatest players of all-time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team.


This has been confirmed

through his family. The cause was not released, but Reed had been in poor health recently and was unable to travel to New York when the Knicks honored the 50th anniversary of their 1973 NBA championship team during their game against New Orleans on Feb. 25.

For those who don't know. Reed had a severe thigh injury, a torn muscle during the 1970 NBA Finals. Missed game 6. But for game 7 and still injury and didn't wanna let his team and the city down. This happened.
