Women Befriending Children

Good day,

In an effort to make the internet a safer place for our children, I am writing this post.
one of the paradoxes I came cross in this room is the contradiction between the apparent room rules and conducts on ground. Of course, it says beautifully in the rule "13 to 17 year olds should stick to chatting to their age group, 18+ users should stick to chatting to 18+ users"! That's commendable gratifying to hear. but is that the reality of the situation in there? absolutely not! and here is why: you can easily come across profiles for 35+ year old women have 13 year old, 14 year old girls on their friends list! naturally there was a private messaging between the two that led to that "friendship" which is a blatant breach for that rule. in addition to that, you can easily come across profiles of women that shamelessly says "Happy to chat with all ages"! and vice versa, you can find profiles of 13, 14-year-old girls that announce," Happy to talk to all ages" or even taking it further "prefer mature women"! and we all know what's that mean!

what I am suggesting here is an additional rule that declares: "18+ year old should befriend only 18+ year old. 13+ year old only allowed to befriend 13 - 17 year old. Of course, I can hear the booing from those "women", some of them are here in this forum. I am not sure who legislates the rules for the room, the Chat master or the room admin, but if you genuinely sincere about making the room a safer place for our children you should adopt this rule no question asked, no exceptions. it is a simple, straightforward and in line with the previous rule that's quoted above.

I’ve been yelling forever that the direct messaging function should be turned off for users under the age of 18. (Site wide) I’ve heard all the responses. And the naysayers. “It would never work” “There’s no way to verify”
The majority of children aren’t lying about their age though. And for those, it would keep that sort of nonsense from happening. If someone said something off to a minor in main they would get called out for it in a heartbeat.
Just my two cents.

No offense, but for someone who has spent very little time in the room, your assumptions and unfounded accusations seem a little strange,

You dont come off as some champion of whats "right" more like a disgruntled troll. Why do I say this? Again, very little time in the room and your unwillingness to have a civil conversation. Instead, wishing to make lame attempts at shaming people. Mind you, first attempt was bullying a minor.

So worried about safety of under 18s? Id take a look in the mirror and start from there.

Have proof of wrongdoing? By all send it to one of the mods or myself and we will be happy to handle. Other than that, assumptions you make are not and will not be grounds to change anything 🙂

@Apollo @Ness_eb @TheLeigh Id like this closed please. At its core it is a complaint and one without any proof, just random accusations. User has been instructed on how to help is there are in rules being broken 💜💜

You just chose the easiest way out. You say it's a mix room! we all know that hence I posted that subject.To say it's mixed room you allowing women to private message children (who cares it's a mix room). But the rule says '13 - 17' should stick to their age group ' and 18+ stick to theirs. It's either we allow older women to PM 13+ or we don't. Or else thst rule is idle doesn't apply!

I didn't notice actually that response was directed to me. You accuse me me of being troll?? What's ur evidence for that? I was overly respectful in my post and my reply! Plus I'm not new to the room I've been there since 2023! By attacking me for this post flags a lot of question marks!

The notion that one should be respected merely because they have been on the Earth for a longer period of time is ridiculous.

That being said, some peoples friend lists both male and female raise red flags. Also people do accept friend requests just from chatting in the main room. Should an adult accept a request from a minor? I’d be inclined to say no personally. It would take a filter to prevent it, because no modding team has the time to look through everyone’s profiles to check friend lists.

By opening a thread on the forum any member of chat Ave can reply to a thread ,especially a mod from said room.
As been pointed out by a few people all ready when crude , vile behavior is raised , staff will take the appropriate action and deal with it.
As with regards to ******** adding others some just send random friend requests in hopes to he added and never talk to them,
About the inappropriate bios you can also report them and staff will look and if needed tell them to change it, quite a few times they either argue or put it back in a few hours or days hoping staff do not notice.
But just expecting staff to go though 100s of profile's will be impossible to do while keeping trolls pervs out of the main room

Finally, someone with common sense. Thank you. Yes I am aware when opening a thread in forum anyone can share his thought I'd be more than happy to take part of discussion. But that child mod jumped in insulting me saying no thing about that topic you can see "take a glass of concrete harden up". I asked her to be respectful and as expected from a child to fire back without common dense demanding me to be respectful for mods. whereas, the subject has no thing to do with mods! Just as that admin attacked me personally not discussing the issue. You can read the thread again and see how subjective it is not relating to any individual in particular.
Thank you ,yes I've been reporting tons of profiles. Next I'm going to report any statement in bio indicating "Happy to talk to all ages" as that clearly against room rules. Let's see if they force them to remove it! Although I doubt it as the admin blatently stated "it's mixed room of all ages" not knowing her own room's rules". 'Age group should stick to each other's group in PMs.

Asking for respect in your mind is being weirdo troll?? You closed your eyes when she says "take a glass of concrete and harden up", that's not trolling?? Between the two of us it's obvious who'se being weirdo! Impartial readers will decide that.
