In relation to the Sex Chat room in particular.
First of all, I love this site, I have huge respect and appreciation for the mods and the vital work that they do. I understand how demanding the work is both in terms of time and the negative mental/emotional impact of seeing/reading some of the things that people post in here.
I really am grateful for all of that. However...
Censoring "ped" is really annoying. There are lots of legitimate words you can use that have that grouping of letters in them, here is a small percentage of them:-
backpedalling, stripped, striped, hopped, pedestrian, popedoms, encyclopedia, moped, pedigree, cropped, bumped, expediance, shipped, pedantic (lol), stropped (lol again), stereotyped, expediant, prepped, impediment, torpedo, stampede, pedicular, typed, pedalo. Plus the smiley :crisped: is now broken.
As I just showed, you can get around it by adding a space so it's not stopping people talking about gross stuff anyway. It gets in the way of those trying to use legitimate language, catches us out when we forget (as many people in here do) what we can and cannot type. It's also a bit confusing for people who are new to this place.
I fully appreciate it's done with a positive aim, but this site ought to be set-up with the needs and preferences of the users who are following the rules and using the site as it's intended.
It's also worth noting that there are many, many ways of getting around the censorship and you can't censor all of them. Even if you do, they'll just switch to using a different word.
Is it possible to change the site's policy on this?
