First of all I know this suggestion will not be taken seriously.
I know chat avenue is all volunteer and my suggestion would cost CA in money so it will not be taken seriously but
I think with all new mods and even with current mods and admins background checks need to be done.
If there is something where the person was accused of inappropriate behavior toward minors even if unproven should disqualify a person from being a mod.
Waiting for Sam Wise to do his normal gaslighting in 3.2.1

Shoe on head does this mean I can mod again?
I remember back in the day we would do this just to show we were real. Then again, just because you’re a “real” person doesn’t show the true intentions of the person.

we live in a world where if u has enough hours of audio recordings, & enough video footage u can make entire fake videos of ppl saying w.e you want them to say, doing w.e u want them to do, even holding w.e you desire & depending on the amount of effort u put into it they are seamless to the real thing, using AI to do it...

these are called deep fakes, i'm sure u all heard of them, & it doesnt take being some kind of special effects engineer in hollywood, a master at photoshop, or wizard to figure it out...

most of the applications out there that do this, charge a simple & cheap af subscription & do all the hard work for u, u just has to have enough content of X person & the patience to make the deepfake (hence the effort)...

paper, shoes, spoons, videos, even live footage can all be faked now...

want a fullproof way of figuring out if someone is real or not & not embellishing themselves or stealing photos???

protip: buy urself a gun for protection, & go meet them in person 🤷🏼‍♀️

the ol' fashioned way of meeting mysterious strangers anonymously
