Links in posts

This is a comment so on topic to the forum.

In case anyone was wondering, links are indeed allowed in your posts (despite the rules) as long as they are on topic to the thread itself. @H.R. PufnStuf told me himself when he denied my report of his post and I got this response

So the next time you need to link something because your heart is telling you that's it's just something you need to do...as many as they might be...as long as they're somehow vaguely in context to the topic...even if it's tangentially related...then you're in the clear.

I'm glad he was able to clear that up for me so I wouldn't have to ask @Chatmaster about it.

My understanding is Links are not expressedly verbotten They can be used if relevant to certain threads, like debate relevant to the thread, they have to be secure, and cant be on the side of promoting websites (and ofc not linking porn etc)

edit: when used doesnt mean they can violate the other forum rules

wait a sec...is that only now that you're doing it...or does that retroactively apply to other threads where you had removed them before too?

my ban last week was because "i had links in my signature that promoted my site"...because it was a link to an image that wasn't the sites i've been promoting...that now promote themselves with content related to this site...because of

they shoot themselves in the foot every single time.
