Why are you gay?
This is a thread for gays who want to and choose to respond, to answer why they are gay.And why do you think you're straight?
Do you have siblings in your household and how were they treated compared to you(dating)? Why am I gay?
Its not really complicated: I've never felt attracted to females at all, when I was under 19 my parents would literally force dating a girl onto me, they would set up these dates with random females I never even knew.
Being gay or apart of lgbtq+ was strictly forbidden in my house, when I turned 14 I had the biggest crush on a 16 year old male, it wasn't really surprising for me because I would have the biggest crushes on all of these guy celebrities, but my dad told me that if I ever started liking guys he would kick me out of the house, but I started dating that 16 year old, and they didn't find out till I was 17 and kicked me out of the house for 6 months when they found out because he k/lled himself, and told his family too tell me.
To me, being attracted and loving the gender that I like just feels very right. No matter what people say about being gay, but I've learned over the years that the lgbtq+ community isn't even supportive to their own community. If I could stop being gay I would to be honest, but I can't and won't because as a guy, loving a guy just feels right.
Edit: If you have a problem with that, please f/ck off, sometimes a negative opinion isn't needed, and people need to learn that.
I have 2 twins a boy and a girl, my sister is straight and she was definitely treated differently from me, she was my parents little "Angel" (Spoiled brat) - My brother is bisexual but isn't interested in the sexual part of men, he was treated differently from me sorta, they forced him to date females too but he didn't give a f/ck.Do you have siblings in your household and how were they treated compared to you.
Do you think they forced you to date girls because they suspected you were gay?
You mentioned that if you could stop being gay you would, What is the basis for this thought and why do you think or feel like you cant?
He isn't attacking anyone, He isn't bullying, he is asking a honest question, if a gay person doesn't know why they are gay, how could they know they are gay?I think the mistake and falsehood of this thread is that he's trying to prove that it's a choice or imply that it is. Which is why I asked why he was straight. He's not looking for answers. It's an inflammatory implied question with immediate homophobic predetermined outcomes.
@Apollo @Ness_eb @H.R. PufnStuf can you close this for bullying
😭 Man, my apologies, I didn't realize that. F/ck this, and I thought he was being kind. If that is his intentions @Apollo @H.R. PufnStuf @Ness_eb Close the thread for what @StubleU said, please, if I can ask that. No, he's literally asking why are you gay. That's the same as asking when did you decide to be gay or why do you think you're gay. He's basing the post based on the assumption that you aren't born gay or you aren't just gay. It's a micro aggression that's trying to invalidate the queer experience. It's hateful and bullying.
Sorry for your loses. By all probability i am astonished at how many people turned out to be gay in your household when your parents disapprove of it. Do you think perhaps your sexuality was a rebellion to your parents for as how your siblings were treated or what happened to your sibling?I have 2 twins a boy and a girl, my sister is straight and she was definitely treated differently from me, she was my parents little "Angel" (Spoiled brat) - My brother is bisexual but isn't interested in the sexual part of men, he was treated differently from me sorta, they forced him to date females too but he didn't give a f/ck.
(5-7 years older siblings) I had 3 older siblings a sister that was trans (Female to Male) and she was interested in females, but she committed suicide because of the pressure my parents put on her and she wasn't understanding anything about herself anymore. Then we have my older brother he was straight, I didn't see him much because he didn't really stay at the house (He died last month in a car crash). Then we have my oldest brother he is gay, had a boyfriend at the time but didn't stay at the house because my parents wouldn't let him, but he is now married to the same guy and has 3 adopted children.
Do you think they forced you to date girls because they suspected you were gay?
Definitely, they thought if they set up these dates with females they thought I would be interested in I would stop liking guys, I mean it was pretty obvious that I liked guys when I turned 11, I would talk about have guys were so freaking cute and handsome all of the time.
And this is why. If anyone else makes a mention of the lgbt community they immediately start to harass and label them homophobes. They are doing the very thing they wish not to be done onto them. You mentioned that if you could stop being gay you would, What is the basis for this thought and why do you think or feel like you cant?
I don't really understand they word "basis" but I will try to explain. The reason why I would stop being gay is because because these days the lgbtq+ community isn't even getting along with its own community. I hate how if a person not in the lgbtq+ community makes a comment about lgbtq+ community they are marked as harassing them, even when its just a freaking opinion, but then we have the lgbtq+ community making harassment comments about their own community and no one does anything.
When you like guys, you can't just stop liking guys, you would be hiding behind a person who isn't the real you. I can't just stop liking the gender I like so I can't really stop being gay.
Edit: Sorry if this is Tl/Dr, my grammar and spelling might not be spot on, but I tried to explain.
You are the only one implying anything. You dont know what im looking for, you are not a mind reader and you are not my brain.I think the mistake and falsehood of this thread is that he's trying to prove that it's a choice or imply that it is. Which is why I asked why he was straight. He's not looking for answers. It's an inflammatory implied question with immediate homophobic predetermined outcomes.
@Apollo @Ness_eb @H.R. PufnStuf can you close this for bullying
I am asking for experiences. He isn't attacking anyone, He isn't bullying, he is asking a honest question, if a gay person doesn't know why they are gay, how could they know they are gay? Besides, when does this chat close something for bullying?
@H.R. PufnStuf @Ness_eb @Apollo
This thread doesn't need to be closed because he isn't attacking anyone yet. If he starts attacking someone then close the thread.
Why are you gay?
No, he's literally asking why are you gay. That's the same as asking when did you decide to be gay or why do you think you're gay. He's basing the post based on the assumption that you aren't born gay or you aren't just gay. It's a micro aggression that's trying to invalidate the queer experience. It's hateful and bullying.
Apparently we live in a world where asking people that CHOOSE to respond to the question: why are you gay? is considered micro agression. Then rephrase the question in a way that isn't a micro aggression
why do you claim to be straight?
But asking why do you THINK you are straight and why do you CLAIM to be straight is not. When they know i identify as straight male. And why do you think you're straight?
Is it something you dont want to talk about in public or at all? If you do you can pm me. If not I appreciate your response either way. I can see how enviornmental factors could possibly play a role in someones sexuality.Well I'm bi because certain things were brought upon me that shouldn't have been as a kid. But honestly I just find the body of both a man and a woman attractive. Growing up I was too young to really understand what it was and really couldn't see myself dating a woman tbh especially since I literally couldn't anyway because I was raised in a christian home with a religious grandmother that always hoped for my sister and I to get married at an appropriate age to another Christian man and have kids.
I have no problem talking about itIs it something you dont want to talk about in public or at all? If you do you can pm me. If not I appreciate your response either way. I can see how enviornmental factors could possibly play a role in someones sexuality.
