50 Shades of Grey: Does it cause violence?

Have you read/watched 50 Shades of Gray and, if so, did it make you a violent person?

Following up on some of the points made in this thread: https://forum.chat-avenue.com/threads/should-pornography-be-illegal-šŸ™ˆ.950945/

I’m not adding ā€œno, not read/watched itā€ as an option because I want to see the % of people that have indulged in 50 Shades that have then become violent because of their indulgence.

Edit: happy for anyone to comment with their views on whether this type of material does/doesn’t cause violence

i don’t think porn makes you violent. if anything it would do the opposite as it pretty much sedates you rather than causes you to escalate into aggressiveness. if anyone has demeaning views of women, it comes from trauma/lack of parenting and watching violent porn or whatever is just a way of getting their fantasy via media.

edit: also i posted my comment cause i haven’t read or watched 50 shades but wanted to add input

No, I watched the film only cos I had a crush on Jamie [cant remember his last name] at the time and he looked really hot in his suit and tie, but it didn't make me violent.

In the real world I play out 50 shades of grey with far greater intensity such as wearing leather or rubber outfits and I tie up and chain up men on chairs and X frames, whip them, beat them and all kinds of things you will have to use your imagination for [minus the use of any kind of human waste products cos that is just sick]. But all scenes are done in a very calm and controlled way and it has been my experience that I often just give the other man what he wants by playing into and acting out his fantasies.

When its all complete I go back to my real life and carry on with life as if nothing ever happened until the next man who comes along and wants it.

This has been very insightful. Thank you for your service.

Jamie Lee Curtis does indeed look good in a suit. Her brother in a boiler suit, less so.
