Should #1 Chat Avenue; SEGREGATE itself further with chats for different ethnicities????

hai friends, 🙋🏼‍♀️

dolla-sama is back on this fine american sunday morning, the lord's land on the lord's day;
with more riveting polls for everyone to enjoy, vote, & discuss about....

corporate forced me to take a paid vacation (🙄) you know how that is right, my fellow working class huma... i mean friends???

anyways, this morning's edition is an interesting, & possibly controversial suggestion poll;

should different ethnicities has their own dedicated chats???

it's cool though i has special privileges that allow me to make this thread,

you see i'm half japanese, so i carry my M (minority) card everywhere that i go 🍌

but it's just the nature of the beast (chat-avenue) to segregate minority groups; gay / lesbian chat, girls / boy chat, teen / kid chat, general / singles chat... so would it really be that much of a problem if we had; white chat, asian chat, black chat, angel chat, muslim chat, jewish chat, italian chat, palestinian chat, indian chat, chinese chat, russian chat, ukrainian chat, native american chat, etc?????

i don't think that would be an issue, nor should be an issue to even suggest; if anything i could make the argument that it's more racist not be so inclusive that each major ethnicity has their own chat dedicated to everything that makes them, them; we has gay chat for the gays, & girls chat for the girls so why can't we has a jewish chat, or a black chat??? 👀👀

i think by doing so we create a safer, relaxed, & more inclusive environment for the rest of our minority users who are not being recognized like the homosexuals (🏳️‍🌈) are; which i think would help, & lessen the issues with racism by 13% (actual statistic 👍🏼)

but that's just me, what does the rest of the #1 chat-avenue community think??? 🍵

i think having all these separate chats, like say one dedicated to jewish people...

would better help identify malicious users that intend to attack them for being uniquely jewish, which would aid in removing racist zealots, such as ezz who spends 90% of his time specifically targeting jewish users...

which in general chat, his antisemitic ramblings are allowed due to the general chat admin's weird inclination towards so-called freedom of speech which hardly applies to private enterprises such as this website; & so the jewish admin of the hypothetical jewish chat, could ban users like ezz from entering their chat for targeting them with hamas propaganda, contrary to how such a user like him is dealt with amongst general chat's general population 💁🏼‍♀️

of course no one would be forced to user their respective ethnicities chat, but they existing would provide a safe space for individuals part of these specific ethnic groups

This coming from a person who has a history of posting pictures of Adolf Hitler and who had a profile pic of their own face with an Adolf Hitler moustache drawn on it. In addition to other racist, transphobic remarks and pictures. And now they are suggesting segregating Jewish people??? I hope that people (and forums UMs) see this for what it clearly is.

I normally don’t interact with you because of what a horrible person I believe you are. You historically display hate speech against trans people, black and jewish people, etc. But when you are this blatant about it someone needs to say something. So I did. Segregation was abolished in 1964 with the Civil Rights Act. It’s sad (but not surprising) to see it still exists some 60 years later. I’m done here.

This poll its actually concerning, Imo it's a chat version of apartheid, that would do nothing more than to encourage the readily classification/identification minorities and partition them into groups for questionable reasons?

The site doesn't require people to identify personal characteristics and these "segregated chat communities" could/would result in a feeding frenzy for racists and other trolls. Not to mention, asking for racial/ethnic details for the purpose of segregating is probably illegal.

so then why does gay / lesbian chats exist???

that is effectively isolating two groups of people for no other reason than their sexual orientation, which forces them to reveal certain characteristics that qualifies them in the appropriate chat for w.e they identify as 😇

its not apartheid unless these ppl are being forced to use these individual chats, which they wouldn't be, which they aren't so to compare this suggestion to apartheid is bizarre & outlandish; as these chats would only exist to serve as a safe space for these ethnic groups, just as gay & lesbian chats serve as nothing more than safe spaces for gays & lesbians...

unless of course, youre implying there is a more sinister reason as to why gay & lesbian chat exist separate from the other chats, in which case i find that to be prejudice as i am a homosexual, sir 🙎🏼‍♀️

Surely the whole point of a poll is to get people’s opinion on something. My opinion is simple, no we shouldn’t segregate based on race or ethnicity.

It’d actually quite simple to vote and share my views without attacking the person who made the post. Lord knows many of my views don’t align with Babydolla but I’m not about to insult her because I don’t agree with her views in a poll.

Address the content of the thread, don’t personally attack the creator.

the suggestion is merely to create individual chats for all the major ethnicities that are known to use this chat, there isn't any sort of mechanism that would force them into these chats like camps (jesus christmas guys, you were actually implying im basically saying to put ppl in camps); thats ridiculous...

no these chats would only exist as options, options just the same as gay & lesbian chats exist as options for gay & lesbian users; it would allow for an alternative, for ppl who are willing to openly identify as their ethnicity same as those who openly identify as gay may use gay chat along the other chats available at #1 Chat-Avenue, where they can chat amongst other ppl of the same ethnicity as them..

not only will it allow them to engage with their own people, but they would be able to do so safely away bc any racist zealot that would enter any given one of these chats to target their specific ethnic group would surely be banned; & that information spread across to the rest of the staff amongst chat-avenue, so they can be aware of that maliciously racist user that @TheDifference seems to mistaken me as being, & ban them before they can engage in racist shenanigans in the rest of the chats too...

i don't know what the big deal is, or how the context is becoming so lost in translation here, but im just trying to Make #1 Chat-Avenue #1 Again, you know???? 😉

like; all im trying to do is mind my own business & figure out ways to make #1 Chat-Avenue safe for everyone, & that there already being segregated chats gave me the idea that maybe adding more segregated chats but for different ethnic groups would serve to being helpful to bringing down the levels of racism...

Another chat site which I think CA is affiliated with has a Black Chat, Asian Chat, and Spanish Chat. Maybe that’s where the inspiration for this suggestion came from. That site also have a Seniors Chat and a Furry Chat. It’s been going for 22 years so I doubt it’s illegal

i actually took the liberty to g00gle some other chatrooms myself, while making this thread, & as it progressed;

of course i won't share them here, bc i'll be banned (again) which i know certain people, some of which in this thread, would luv to see happen but i won't give them that satisfaction🖕🏻

but in my findings i've found a lot of the same that u has mentioned, black chats, asian chats, spanish chats, muslim chats, etc; i've even found some which do has jewish chats, something that i was accused of being a nazi by our esteemed adult chat admin @TheDifference for even suggesting, shame on him...

so it really all that farfetched to actually suggest that we too, create individual chats which are dedicated to different ethnic groups??? hardly racist, or illegal as this is a common thing spread through various different competitor chat-sites 🧐

i think the problem is people dont like the word segregated, but segregation is what it is regardless of how u want to spin it; segregating simply means separating, this isnt forced segregation or some sort of wacky chat-apartheid as our esteemed UM @H.R. PufnStuf foolishly implied it being similar in fashion to...

these websites seem to be functioning fine with this format, & there likely are unique rules established in each of their ethnic chats specifically designed with a no tolerance towards racism to better deter it.... something which, sad to say, i see this website tolerates all too much despite being seemingly more inclusive 💅🏼
 
I think that would be a good idea, but it would all depend on how many users would visit and chat in those rooms. We wouldn't want a new chatroom to be created just for it to be dead or not very active. I could see there being an Asian chat or Black chat. I think chatrooms for different races would be better than just a chatroom for a specific ethnicity. Race is more like the continent people are from and ethnicity is more of the countries people are from.

I know exactly what chat site you are referring to, but I don't think they are affiliated in any way. I know both sites are similar and that is because sites like this one use the codychat software. I believe some of the features and addons come from the codychat maker and others can be purchased and added to a site that are made by other coders and addon sellers. That's why you see many of the same features in different chat sites, but some sites may have other features that some don't.

You have a point. Sometimes it is easier to chat and talk to others that are similar to you and understand your background and all that. It could be hard finding those people in a room like adult, teen, or general chat since it is a mix of people of different ages. Also it's good for others that don't belong in that race group but like to talk to others of that race.

i wish the segregated chats here frankly were more restrictive, like u has to be a lesbian to use lesbian chat or u has to be a girl to use girl chat;

i'd probablys be more inclined to use them if i wasn't intermingling with users that are astoundingly openly male in chats where they really has no business being inside of, but i just use general chat...

...kind of like how teen / kid chat has age cut offs...

bc it definitelys is easier, & it would be nice to be able to without some sort of crass interference 💁🏼‍♀️

1. wearing a plaid shirt
2. in the driver seat of a suburu with a kamala harris 2024 bumper sticker
3. no make up, short hair (preferred but not necessary)
4. a neckless with the female gender symbol, instead of say, a crucifix (tattoos acceptable)
5. listens to tatu, billie ellish, & doja cat

I agree certain rooms like boys and girls should have the same gendered people as the room is supposed to have. Also lesbian room I would say it's ok for bi girls to be there since they still like girls like lesbians do. But I don't like if guys are in the girls room or lesbian room. Like it defeats the whole purpose of the rooms. It would be hard to prove if someone is lesbian, but if a guy is there then it's easy to spot that they're not supposed to be there and kick/ban them. If a guy wants to talk to a lesbian girl or a girl in general then there's teen or adult or general. They can't be in lesbian or girls. Also if a girl isn't lesbian or bi and they're wanting to talk to girls then that's the point of the girls room.
 
In response I would just like to know if this would stop those different nationalities attacking the other nationalities in the rooms? For example:
General Chat - A pakistan ch atter accused an american chatter of being in a country that is proud of child sexual offenses and predators, and then proceded to shame all americans stating they condone this behaviour. I and another chatter went onto to find credible information that it happens in all countries of the world not just one, but it was high in the country of origin who accused the american of the same. When this was pointed out said chatter and his harem went onto abuse us saying we are racist scum by finding information re that country.

This is a never ending drama in General Chat with the likes of Ezz, Sunny etc etc being called vile racist zionist pigs? (I have no idea if it happens in other chats) ok we have ignore button which I use but this goes on for hours on end the same retort. As for the suggestion by the OP this would be a good space for the ones who clearly hate any other ethnicity to have a save space to engage in.

Racism is abhorrent, having felt this first hand growing up in a small country town with a Serbian father and Australian mother. It should not be engaged in ever for any reason, but where does it end? I am called racist because I refuse to allow a small minority to throw mud at another country without looking at thier own?
 
I'm going to say no as I can already see all the issues this would cause especially targeting towards different ethnicity and races we have enough issues in rooms with this already without it causing targeted attacks by trolls on different races
I understand the idea of what you're trying to suggest but in my honest opinion I think it would cause more harm than good
 
As a older chatter here, I say Baby D has a few valid points, at least a few things to think about, in todays age EVERYTHING is "racist" and the word is diluted and over-used and lost its impact in many ways. CA already has separate rooms for various topics and lifestyles, The point is that the vast majority is sick of the current anti-jewish sentiment from many users just cause CA is there ranting platform cause its free and is totally anonymous. a side room for this kind of behavior would clean up the main and I don't see as racist in any way. And really lets face it, if the ranters and religious crazies had to post there real phone #'s and real verified addys 99.9% of this would end ! Now to the Wokies and Snowflakes this is just MY OPINION. Have a good day !

i personally would luv to be able to talk to other ppl of japanese heritage, or even asian in general; but since there is no asian chat for people of asian descent to congregate, i guess the only so-called-asian i'll has to talk to in general chat, is crazy ass audrey 🙃

I don’t want to drag this off topic but when involved in a conversation recently about trans hate and homophobia on forums, I was reminded that the GLB forum is the equivalent of a “safe space” and that other areas of forums are kept “as free speech as possible”. I don’t see how that’s much different from what’s being suggested here.

sure, he gets kicked from time to time because of it, but the disciplinary action taken against him isn't so much the problem (though more should be done about him); the problem uniquely, is that he triggers complete discussions, & debates that are entirely inspired by filled accordingly with toxic - edgy - hate speech...

i think if other races / ethnicities / whatever sugar coat you want to use, had separate (segregated 🤭) chats that consisted generally of those that are presumably the same race / ethnicity / whatever sugar coat you want to use; as well, people who identify themselves as allies of w.e group's chat theyre visiting in (similar to how boys & girls chat, or gay & lesbian chats work)...

B E C A U S E O F T H I S,

even if a racist zealot goes into the chat, & starts trying to start a chatroom racewar they won't succeed bc it will just be them amongst a group of chattas that are the same, so even after the racist is rightfully removed, the discussion doesn't digress into hate speech based discussions; more than likely, such as chat-avenue's competitors, special rules would be put into place that puts emphasis on a zero tolerance for racism making it easier for the admin there to ban racist zealots...

that seems better than the current system in place today at #1 Chat-Avenue, bc this seemingly inclusive website, doesn't seem to do much about it's racist zealots 🙈🙉🙊
 
In fairness in gay chat we’ve had more Israel/Palestine posts than gay bashing (the latter of which is rare and usually is some weird kink)
 
What’s got me more thinking who is clinically unbiased and of a non white race that could admin that (those?) chat/s?

I am one that called her a Nazi. I may be more triggered as I got relatives who were alive during the German Socialist Movement. Hitler was never funny nor was his followers.

You know I never love to stir the pot, but I do love to point out some hypocrisy. You shouldn’t claim someone is dragging you back here when you’re liking comments saying she should be perminantly banned. Thats you choosing to be involved. And there’s nothing wrong with that.

These forums aren’t all about helping people who have been banned by the spam filter and then flexing in the mirror. It’s also a place to engage in discussion and, guess what, not all of them are going to be to your liking. I’ve said more than once now that my views are definitely polar opposite to @babydolla. But I can engage in discourse about a subject where our opinions differ without the need to attack her on her views.

Apart from a few odd comments to Hannah, which I’ll say right here right now, Babydolla, that was a **** move, she has never let her opinions influence the way she treats people. So why not tell us your views? Should we have segregated chats based on race/ethnicity? It’s a no from me, as it is from the majority of people who have voted. Which I’d suggest is a good thing.

At the end of the day, there are going to be people here who agree with you and people who don’t. Part of being an adult is accepting those differing opinions and getting on with your damn life.

But adding a reaction emoji to a post I like isn’t hypocritical and doesn’t add to the discussion. I have been following this thread because I’m interested to see the responses. The OP likes to create threads like this to get people wound up. I think it makes her feel a sense of (false) importance and also gives her the attention she so desperately craves. But that’s a bit off topic. As for your question, I made my position clear in my very first post, I said No.

Personally. I think segregation is ****. . HOWEVER . I DO think it would be the beez kneez to see side rooms for different languages (for my own selfish reasons, I want to practice other languages, and what better way to do that than to immerse oneself in a room speaking a different language).

u ppl argue that this will cause a race war of some kind, but you don’t see gross examples of overt homophobia on gay chat as @Inkandtatts pointed out; why is this a risk / concern / fear when discussing segregated chats for different races, why isnt it a factor for the chats segregated by sexual orientation or gender???

thats actually kind of weird to me that its fine to has segregated chats for homosexuals, but not individual races 🙈

I see your points, but there are plenty of examples of adults being in Kids/Teens (we all know why), males being in Girls/Lesbian for the sole purpose of trolling, and even the odd idiot who thinks Lesbian Chat is his personal domain to convert women back to straightdom. I know, one of the idiots used to frequent my room.

Not to mention the very real issue of a long-term Lesbian Chat mod turning out to be a male.

Gay Chat does indeed seem to be an outlier in regards to what we're calling the segregated chat. This is either because the staff are excellent at quickly identifying and removing issues, or because most trolls are too insecure to be surrounded by so much pee pee.

I suppose it comes down to, segregating by race seems like a much bigger thing than by sexuality. I mean I'm all for it if it's something everyone wants, but I can see it become less about race and more about racism. The only exception I can see is if there are specific rooms for non-English speakers. But then you have the whole debacle of finding mods who speak the language, and deciding just how many foreign language rooms you offer.

It's the same as having Asian community centers, "ladies night" at the pub, and the various types of bars that exist.

The only way you'd know whether an "Asian Chat" (using that as an example) would be worthwhile would be whether those that would use such a room want such a room - or whether there is a ready and waiting market for it. Looking at sites that do have these rooms, they get a handful of people in them. Staffing them would be another issue, as raised by @-Luka

even if i was suggesting forced segregation, which youre right, im not; am not entirely sure how that would even be possible…

it just so happens to be that segregated is the right word to use here, which im certain the use of that word being associated with races is what has everyone so riled up about 🤷🏼‍♀️

pretending this suggestion comes into fruition, i imagine it would exactly as it does with the segregated chats we has now; you would freely be able to use whatever chat you like, but alternatively you will has the option to chat with for example; other fine jewish folks if youre jewish, or other muslims if youre muslim, etc

it would provide exactly what gay chat provides for gay men, an outlet to meet & chat with other ppl of the same race in a safe space to do so 😇

as for staffing; i happily volunteer to administrate white chat 🙋🏼‍♀️

But then this raises the question of how "segregated" (for lack of a better term) we go. An Asian Chat, isn't going to work if it's 99% Indian and you've got a couple of Japanese individuals trying to find a place to fit in.

I'm arguing here like I'm staunchly against it but, if it were introduced, I'd be over it in double quick time. I suppose it's more of a logistics issue than anything. Seems like it would be hard to introduce and maintain. Let's just make two big rooms. 11-18 Chat and Big People Chat. We can all mix together in one giant melting pot. Except @-Luka. He's got his own room where it's him, Jess, and Hannah 24/7.
