THE QUESTIONS I NEED ANSWERED ARE AT THE BOTTOM. PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC.
I posted previously about my profile pics being repeatedly removed. Quick recap: I had a holiday photo in a bra—not raunchy, just cleavage. No mod said anything while online, but the pic disappeared when they weren’t. After it kept happening, I complained and got kicked for complaining. I posted a forum about it and it turned out it was Leigh moderating incognito. She said on the forum she removed it and to stop reuploading the pic. I didn’t even know mods had incognito mode—she could have just messaged me when I complained about my pic disappearing. Again the pic wasn’t super suggestive but I figured it had something to do with the cleavage so I changed it to a side-angle shot from the same set—no cleavage, very tasteful. Still removed. Leigh said it was because the first and second pics are in a bra. I pointed out the bot “bobby” has a pic in bra, and she said it was cropped so it didn’t look like lingerie. Fair enough. I tried a third photo: a Macy’s holiday tank top and skirt (think Mean Girls Christmas talent show outfit). Not underwear, but she removed that too. I cropped it to match how bobby’s pic is framed, and she didn’t remove the picture. Even in the original forum she said she left the pic alone when I had it cropped. What she didn’t mention is that YES she left it alone, but she kicked me with a message saying “your kicks will go up until you change the bra pic.” I posted another forum to which she replied that undergarments/lingerie aren’t allowed period, but ignored that this final outfit WASN’T lingerie. All my pics were also scrubbed from that forum so she could safely claim I was posting bra photos without backlash. (for an example of this outfit she claimed was underwear)
Let me get to my recent point here: another user, Liberty Belle, has a pic involving a woman in panties. I mentioned the standards are being held differently and Sweet_Ums told me not to “whine,” just report. Sweet_Ums removed it, but it was back up today. I reported it. Jose ignored it. Jose DMed me about a separate issue so I decided to follow up about Liberty in DMs. He sent a voice message saying “No I’m not going to get into this, No, there’s nothing inappropriate about her profile picture, so, No, I’m not going to remove it. You’ve already been told you’re not putting lingerie pictures up in here. I’m sure the men appreciate it, but we don’t. You’re not special because you’re a celebrity.”
(To be clear, I’m married, gay, and barely active. So what was with the “men appreciate it” comment? Especially considering my photos aren’t lascivious, and I’m not interested in male attention.)
Here’s where I need clarity:
Leigh said no visible undergarments/lingerie, PERIOD. When I report or bring attention to this, I’m being told to drop it, let it go, and stop whining about the past. I’m witnessing the same rule that was applied to me in the past be dismissed in the present. Another point to make is that my camisole (which extended down to the top of my bellybutton), was labelled and disciplined as a “bra.” And then you have minors wearing shorter cami-tops than mine was?
I want real, clear answers, not unaccountability from staff. I’m tired of the ol’ “it’s up to the mod’s discretion,” bull crap. If an admin disciplines someone and says ‘this is the standard, period’ and moderators stray from that standard as they so choose, then it creates inconsistency, undermines the admin’s authority, and leads to confusion and rebellion amongst the chat. Which is what you’ve seen recently with people attacking mods on throw away acocunts. YOUR inept inconsistency caused that.
So answer:
Why a photo involving alcohol, underwear, and straddling a man while kissing IS appropriate for an 13+ room?
Why is clothing disciplined differently depending on who wears them?
