it’s my burden to try and be ok with a man watching me chat in main.
it’s my burden to try to stop paying attention when i start reading what a man wants to tell us.
it’s my burden to be constantly forced to make decisions to just look away or spend time and effort blocking them every month.
it’s my burden to bite my tongue when a man jokes around with us.
it’s my burden to be silent when i have a visceral reaction from seeing a mans face who just wants to “hang out with the girls”.
it’s my burden to find reasons why the “they are allowed to be here with us” rule is ok.
it’s THEIR burden to be nice and respectful. some truly are. some maybe are. some for sure aren’t. that’s true for any person male or female.
i was r'd when i was 9 over a period of a year by a man who lots of ppl thought was a nice and respectful man. maybe i have trust issues and a change in room rules won’t fix that. but for me, the current rule is my burden to bear and it’s a very heavy one sometimes in the only girls chat room i know of.
if the “male” and “other” option was removed, then it would be THEIR burden to be forced to pretend to be a girl if they really feel an innocent need to hang out with the girls.
i’m fine with the truth that more men will just pretend to be girls in order to not get kicked. figuring out who is lying about being a girl won’t be new problem… because we already have to do this.
