Age-based restrictions on Forums

I'm sure this has been raised before but I can't find it so I'm raising it again.

I looked at "New posts". There was a thread about a catfish. I was about to comment on it but just before I posted I saw it was in Teen Forum which I'm not allowed to post in. I'm sure the same happens to under 18s with the Adult Forums.

This thread had a few suggestions including adding wording to the top of the forums and that's good but it doesn't stop you inadvertently posting in areas that you shouldn't be posting in.

It is possible on this software to have rules set up in the same way as ranks to stop people seeing and/or posting in areas they shouldn't. Can we have this set up @Chatmaster ?

I feel your pain when I'm zoomin through posting I've made the mistake before about posting in the wrong aged section. Good suggestion!

yes it would set up like mod forums. he would need to rank each teen/kids user to see the correct forum.

cm prob wont implement considering the sites stance on stating age. as a mod you understand that, you can ask till your blue in the face but if they state 18+ theres nothing you can do until theirs proof.

it would be easier to hide the adult content forums.

as an aside: previously, if there were threads that benefited/concerned the whole site many times the thread was moved out of teen/kids (or adult) and to gen forum,since gen forum was for general topics anyway, where everyone could comment on. however gen forum seems to now be locked down tighter than @Luka when he cbombs. must be only for the elite gen room people when the winds blowing the right direction and everyone is wearing polkadots.

oh...yeah...i mean it comes down to having good faith in people...like @Inkandtatts mentioned...he doesn't go into those forums because he has the conscience to not touch them...knowing he's not the expected demographic...the same can obviously said for the opposite with some people
 
@ 💩 Formerly Known as Princessa's grip on this must be so strong that she's getting all the notifications and fuming over it until the ban is lifted
