So what else is new? There is no point in having mods or admins if people can circumvent bans or mutes with guest functionality. This is why regular users leave because of the groomers and other users targeted harrassment by using guest accounts to get out of ignores.
Literally everyone has complained about itSo what else is new?
A restriction SHOULD be put on that. Better a site with fewer users than a site completely full of perverts.Imagine you're a new user, just landed on ChatAvenue and you want to try it out, would you sign up? How many websites do you leave because it asks for you to make an account?
If you make it harder for people to use the site, fewer people would use it. As a social site that relies on the number of users, would you put a restriction on that?
You're at #1 ChatAvenue, not #1 DecentChatBetter a site with fewer users than a site completely full of perverts.
uhuh, uhuh, u wanna go for a dance? .....Sites with fewer users die. Now think of it from a business point of view. Take any popular social media, and re-read this:
You're at #1 ChatAvenue, not #1 DecentChat
In fairness, you can stipulate that you’d only like to receive private messages from registered users and/or those on your friend’s list. It doesn’t weed out the guest users’ messages in the main room, but it does cut down dramatically on a lot of private nonsense. An ignore feature that ignores all non-registered accounts.
