I know @Chelle Belle does it, but anyone else? I find the focus , energy and general mood to be the most beneficial aspect of it.

If you're on it or have been, how long have you done it and what were the results? How long did it take to go into ketosis?

I do highly recommend it....I've been on it since October of 2021....I have so much more energy overall, and feel tons better! I would say it took maybe 2-3 weeks to go into Ketosis....however, I never suffered from the "Keto flu" I heard so much about. That may be partly due to my addiction to Propel water with the electrolytes. If you're gonna try it...definitely get a ton of electrolytes 🙂

Probably won't knock you out of Ketosis but that will spike your Insulin levels why all the hard work and for a crappy burger meal? Unless you remove the bun?
Been Keto on and off for 5 years now ,
Did it work for you?

T2 Diabetes and the fact that I lost 1/3 of my body weight, and maintained a safe weight for just over 12 months means I have removed the insulin resistance and put my diabetes in to remission, but still on low doses of metformin which allows me a cheat meal.

Keto is fabulous for Diabetes! Have you watched The Magic Pill? Cereal Killers ( 2 part ) ? Carb Loaded? if not give them a watch , bloody brilliant .

Yup, i do IF so when I take electrolytes it's pink salt, magnesium and potassium. My mood is ten times better and my hunger is gone. What's cool is finding new food recipes to use.

Yes, I put my body in to ketosis when I was dignosed with Diabetes in and attempt to lose weight quickly, 27kg in 6 months and put diabetes in to remission.

Still use a lot of influence from Keto diet, but diet is now a little more lax
I'm so glad to hear that. There's so many benefits to it.

I don't do cheat meals because I'm so used to staying away from junk food.

Yeah, it really is. Incorporating IF also has helped a lot.

I assume just unsaturated fats correct?
No. Saturated and unsaturated. I'd recommend eating a paleo version of keto. The foods should be whole, one-ingredient foods in general. Beef, fish, broccoli. Don't be afraid of red meat/saturated fat/cholesterol. The saturated fat/cholesterol/heart myth has been debunked long ago. Don't focus too much on fat types. Even trans fat is no problem as long as it comes from real foods. What matters is the food, not the type of fat. If you get fat from vegetable oil, that is bad. Just do animal fat and fruit fat such as avocado oil/coconut oil/olive oil. My diet is mainly ruminant meat such as beef, oily fish such as salmon, broccoli, and sauerkraut.

Where did you read this? Every. Single. Article. States. Saturated. Fats. Are. Bad !!!

The alleged thing behind saturated fat is that it raises cholesterol, but the question is, is cholesterol a good predicting factor for heart disease? Only in preliminary studies did they find a weak link between the two, not even taking into consideration confounding factors, and blew it way out of proportion. Cholesterol isn't an issue. You can find information about this everywhere.

If you still believe mainstream nutritional advice and think eating a lot of nuts, beans, seeds, grains, and fruit is healthy, then do that. I'm not telling you what to eat.

True, only a correlation has been established, rather than a direct cause and effect relationship

I’ve been suggested Keto for grade 3 astrocytoma as well as very low high-processed soy, sugars, no caffeine and high palm oil and coconut oils. I think it’s a bit different to normal Keto but same thing - get out carbs and sugars and replace with ketones and literally starve it. Following doctors’ advice.

I tried this diet, but it didn't work for me at all. I prefer short-term interesting diets such as banana NO LINKS . It sounds interesting and when you try several diets, you understand which one is more suitable. I also exercise a lot and it helps me lose weight faster. I have already tried keto several times, but I still don't like it very much

I used to follow keto diet for a long period, and I liked the result it gives. I still follow it when I need to get in shape, but not always. I sometimes change different diets, but always follow the advice of health blogs to avoid experimenting myself cause intuitive dieting is not for me. As for the intermittent fasting, I can't get used to it. I think this is not for me.

all 'diets' can be unhealthy, not just Keto...but at the same time all 'diets' can also be healthy.

Keto can manage diabetes, but is can be bad for high cholesterol.
