If you're anything like me, you'll come across comments every now and again on forums that’s directed at you, yet come from complete strangers who you've never even talked to. This is your chance to put those rumors to rest!

What are some chat rumors about you that you'd like to clear up? Please share your side of the story in this thread.
 
I'll begin:
  • I was engaged. I'm not anymore. People change, situations change. I wish very much to say this isn't the case, but life has a way of shifting your plans and all you can do is roll with the punches.
  • @Ytodd and I aren't dating, but lets call this a moment of truth: I've been in love with him for a decade. I don't think this will ever change, but we've managed to convince ourselves that we prefer offline relationships over an online one. It's probably fear of rejection, but here we are.
  • No, I'm not a general chat mod because I kissed Samwise's ass to get there. I was a mod long before he became admin, and I did it because I wanted to help out in a room I frequently visited, a room I became a regular of since 2013. Most people who have claimed Gen Chat mods are brownnosers are the same ones who never even stepped foot in General Chat to get to know any of the regulars, the mods, or Samwise. Regulars on forums do not speak for regulars in Gen Chat.
  • I'm not interested in @Boba Fett. He only said that because I called him a drama llama, which, anyone can see how deep he is in drama by just reading forums. When we modded together, I stood by him and tried to support him the best way I could. This niceness doesn't mean I want a relationship with him, and quite frankly, I wouldn't even have talked to him if he wasn't a fellow mod at the time. Me wanting him sounds more like a fantasy of his than reality, but this rumor did make me laugh! Thank you.

No one cares about your thesis. No one cares about you and Ytodd. You used to pm me complaining about DESS and @Samwise who you claimed was "scared of you". You told Badger this too.

You were a sh*t mod who let everything go as you flirted with Todd. People had to tag you constantly for you to take any action.

You've also hit on me calling me handsome and funny. Do I need to find the SS's? You had amble time to respond to my claims but took two weeks after you quit to try and address them. The only reason you were kept as a mod was because of loyalty, even though you logged in twice a week. **** outta here with that bs.

You also took off from modding and told people you were marrying Ytodd.

@Boba Fett And here you are again causing drama in yet another thread, even though you started the I-want-you rumor. You're just proving my point now.

Todd and I are "e-married," that's not the same thing as actual marriage. We joke and flirt a lot, but it's never serious. Do I ever wish we were a real couple? Sure, I do. Will I ever want you over him? No. <-- Read that loud and clear.

@Samwise and I are friends. Why would he be scared of me? Do tell. In fact, I'd LOVE to see your proof of that one. Same thing with Dess. All three of us go way back to classic chat. Now I know you've had problems with both, and I tried to sympathize with you when you did. I told you that it doesn't change our friendship. What did, however, is your constant whining and bashing of people on forums. What has happened to you? Who hurt you? You're like a child with a temper tantrum these days.

I was hired for spam relief. I asked him if I can help out, and he (@Samwise) said yes and later on I was a relief mod for a month and two weeks. (Not saying any more than that)

I quit because of my studies. I was behind on my studies and I needed to focus on them. (I can't wait to jump back in @that one chick @Samwise )

Dess rarely post her normal pics on this site, much less exposed for anything worse. She quit modding on her own terms. Another rumor put to rest, by someone who actually talks to Dess. Yay, we're making progress!!!

Seems to me rumors are becoming even more confusing since rumors mostly come from EX moderators of General Chat?
 
Boba Fett, you flirt with women all the time, then turn around and act like they're the ones who are hitting on you. I've seen it several times now from many different women. You have open letters to you on forums about that, I won't mention who!

Rumors don't only come from General Chat. In fact, some of the rumors about Gen Chat come from people who don't even visit the room. Consider your source when you read anything on here. If you read forums and then visit general chatroom, you'll see that there are two completely different groups of people.

General chat is a pretty cool place, i met pretty cool people there...it's my chat home now.

I don't flirt or hit on women. If you're talking about Velma_Fat you're mistaking. She sent me unwanted pics then harassed the woman I was talking to so I posted her smelly ass sat up on a public bathroom sink.

You however spent months flirting with Ytodd and ignoring flags. You were a **** mod who got away with a lot.

I also never said "no one is like you" you're Asian, I don't find you people attractive.

Yeah, you shouldn't have treated @Velma_Dinkley like that either after she trusted you. She didn't deserve that, but she's only one of the many. What a lame move on your part. Also, you said "no one is like you" to me in main chat once too. It's not like you didn't make it public knowledge. I didn't respond to it and went to make dinner instead.

I've been modding since 2013, and even now, I mod at least four times a week. I'd do more if time permits, but I don't live here 24/7 (unlike a few people I've observed, including you). So that's ten years of modding + four days a week now. Also, you modded for like a year and think you know everything about chat-avenue. That's cute!

Finally, I'll flirt with Todd if I want to! It's called multitasking. After years of practice, I'm quite fast at mutes/kicks but cry some more. Ask any of the current Gen Chat mods -- it's a race to see who mutes/kicks faster when we're together in the room.

He was tagged due to the fact that he recently said I want him, which I don't. It made me choke on my drink. I'm putting a rumor to rest, as the title of this thread implies. I know other people here have rumors about them that they don't agree with as well. It's a chance for the people of those rumors to speak out for themselves.

I know Boba is your friend and you feel the need to protect him. Well, if he's going to attack my friends or mention lies about me, I'm not going to sit around without defending myself either.

Instead of arguing with the users, you should focus on removing the bad people who break the rules or harm others.

I want to clear nothing up because what people say to me or about me is none of my business because it reflects on the person they are.

I am extremely comfortable with the person I am and I believe my moral compass serves me well.

I'm in this life to irritate, not imitate.

She didn't have to, she wanted to. Staff are unpaid volunteers who are free to use their time however they please. That includes making threads. Respectfully, you are in absolutely no position to dictate what someone else should and should not do with their time.

Yeah, you shouldn't have treated @Velma_Dinkley like that either after she trusted you. She didn't deserve that, but she's only one of the many. What a lame move on your part. I've been modding since 2013, and even now, I mod at least four times a week. I'd do more if time permits, but I don't live here 24/7 (unlike a few people I've observed, including you). So that's ten years of modding + four days a week now. Also, you modded for like a year and think you know everything about chat-avenue. That's cute!

Finally, I'll flirt with Todd if I want to! It's called multitasking. After years of practice, I'm quite fast at mutes/kicks but cry some more. Ask any of the current Gen Chat mods -- it's a race to see who mutes/kicks faster when we're together in the room.

Hold up, that's funny you mention that, I'm on the phone with the person who paid my phone bill 🤣 , the person is a sweet caring male from Michigan, and we are very close, I was every surprised that he paid my phone bill for 3 months.

I don't know man, lately he been saying "I love you" before he hangs up on me every night for the week and I talked to his mom before....to me this is scary.... this is even more scarier is that he has the qualitys I like in a guy...but I don't want a relationship right now or any time soon... *Runs away*

Be careful just saying. I know you can care for yourself and make your own decisions but if you are uncomfortable then that is maybe a sign you need to think about but @Kim and @purplerose these ladies have been around (NOT SAYING THE ARE OLD) but can offer more insight on this.

On a serious note, only thing I want to say is, just because I have a decent brain, doesn’t mean I’m fake. I’ve more than proven myself on so many occasions to many people.

Oh, and I’m not a transgender like someone tried to say one time. I was born with all the girl parts as a girl. Why an adult would be concerned about the gender of a then 14 year-old person is beyond morality anyway.

When we get a new client we do have to ask what gender they identify with and pronoun use. I agree with your statement about why be concerned with gender etc of someone underage. But times have changed I had a 11 year old tell me they were female to male transitioning, gay. When I was 11 I was just concerned about the summer being over and school starting up again.

I did , although i don't think it will sit well , and why on earth she can't discuss this with her Mother is beyond me .

i dont get along with my mother either, but if i was almost 18 and a guy from halfway across the continent from my location paid my phone bill ( or any bill for that matter) id tell my mom. chances are she wouldve fought with me and paid it herself. why? because even though she doesnt like me 99% of the time. a she would never expect anything in return. unlike said guy. which is what happened, evident by your post in EE where you admitted blocking guy.

Okay this is really NOT a rumor but it is true. After being tricked for so long I am now back on my original view that Kim and Cat are the same. All hail the mighty Cat-Kim. Wishing Kim's name was Kit because we could hail the mighty Kit cat.
