Concerns in moderation in video chat

Hello Moderation team and common users of video chat, this is I Alec. I've come to discuss the current situation concerning the moderation team.

While using Video Chat I have been hearing of alot of complaints regarding certain mods behaviours in specifics recently it would be Steve. I have overheard that Steve has been fooling around within his role and has been acting out. Steve has been practically egging people on and purposely trying to annoy them to make the user he is antagonising to say something that gives him an excuse to ban them. Steve is clearly having a power trip and I believe something should be done about it, preferably demotion as i believe a talking to won't solve anything, maybe even just a temporary suspension from his role as mod as I honestly don't know many people who like him besides ur average user who likes to rub up against the mods. I'm sure there's a fair amount of people who can agree with me on this.

I'd also like to complain about the lack of moderation compared to the amount of staff that we have on video chat. There are several mods online but im constantly seeing children/pedophiles online and not being dealt with, yet as soon as someone like User1 joins he is INSTANTLY kicked/banned. Why is someone like user1 a priority when children are being taken advantage of. A few days ago i had seen a few mods online and a woman was posting her ********, it had been posted around 10 times within 5 minutes before any action was done, who knows what could have been on her ******** yet it took so long for anything to be done about it.

On a good note, cudos to Misty, shaggy and pwurring. I believe you guys are great mods and actually do your role how it's supposed to and can also maintain a friendly relationship with the ******** here.

I'd like to add on that steve has also threatened people with a kick if they dont whisper instead of talking in the main chat. I don't mean to be mistaken but im sure a chat room is to talk. Even if it is a back and forth conversation, that is usually how bigger conversations with more people occur.
 
Id like to mention the tagged words are a a certain social media service starting with a T! x2 and the last tag would be the word chaters
 
let me clear a few things up regarding user1he hits and runs meaning he logs in, posts then logs out before what he has posted shows up in chat as the room cant see the bans then how can you say mods do nothing. Regarding the under age and pedos i know for a fact every mod in vid chat make them a priority to ban and deal with. As far as other mods edging users on i will say you or the rest of the room cant see what is being said to that mod concerned just because a mod is showing up as in the room doesnt mean they are at their desk we all do other things while in mod mode

booyou i completely get that and i honestly couldn't care less about user1. My main concern here is people like steve who are banning the wrong people and kicking them for no reason when hes the person creating problems and my 2nd problem is how u can have so many mods and i mean there are a ton, yet there cant be a single mod active at their desk to kick a potential pedophile from the chat. I know you and ness are lurking in the chat 18/24 hours a day, surely u can pay attention for a minute and kick someone, its insanity.
 
Hello there. thanks for your concern and feedback

As for minors - If we see it in the chat. we take action asap with screenshots taken. If its in pm/whisper and a user brings it to our attention. we ask for screenshots of it to fall back on since that is a rule made by the @Chatmaster and @Administrator. We also ask users their age when we suspect something suspicious(username, webcam, mic etc).

As for pedophiles. We take action when we see them and report them to the local authorities.

As for steve the mod- I have reviewed and watch steve and have spoken to steve. He will not be demoted at all at this time.

User 1 is a known trouble maker and trolls that has been doing this for years.

Ness bro 😀 i have heard from several individuals that steve is a troublemaker just as user1 and has been created problems with people for no reason, he is a guilt tripping mod who doesn't deserve his role. He will continue acting how he acts. Hire someone better brother
 
Hi Alec! I'm sure CM takes notes on the complaints he receives even if he is not able to respond. Steve is a great moderator and he is nothing compared to anything like User1 and the nonsense he does. User1 is constantly breaking multiple rules and causing trouble all the time while he hits and runs us in the room. I have never seen Steve do anything like such through my months of being a VC moderator.

We enjoy having Steve on the team as he is always helping us out in any way he can, he is a great addition to the team. if you feel a consequence is unfair please always come here to forums. I will not say he never makes mistakes, as we make some mistakes from time to time. We are human!

Sometimes we often get caught up with daily moderator tasks and IRL stuff, we always try to give everyone consequences when it is required but it always is not possible to catch everything. I often am doing homework projects while I am inside the room. We all are here to improve the chat and make it safer for all. Considering we don't often get pedophiles, they are always banned as soon as we catch them and brought up to @Ness_eb for further consequences to be given.

It can be hard for us to point out underage users if you don't tell us. We most of the time are able to investigate by ourselves but a helpful tip would be greatly appreciated if you think someone is underage, we will always investigate if we see your message.

Murky ive never been fond of you but i have to respect you for that reply, very professional of you. May i ask, would i be allowed to pose as a minor to try expose some possible pedophiles within the video chat channel?
 
No Sir, we rather you not do anything like that as we don't want you to say the wrong thing and be in violation too while trying to help us out haha.

Not sure why you think I am a problem because I am not. I only kick or ban if it's needed same as all mods do .I am surprised you even said what you did in forums because I have never had a problem with you. Even another mod said he had problems with you today.

steve its not even me personally who has a problem with you, im seeing several complaints about you, its fucking crazy, ur a dogshit mod
