Seriously? And I'm wetting myself because it's forecast to be -8(c) here next week
lol it's drops to this cold at least a couple of times a year...that said...we had a brown christmas this year and it was barely below 14 degrees here all of december...it wasn't until thursday last week that it started to drop..and then monday evening we got snow again for the first time since early Nov i think? we'll often drop down to -50 with the wind but also actually drop down to -45 without the wind...and in the summer we'll get into the 100s...we like our extremes

Sounds like a nightmare.

-28C right now and going down to -39C tonight. I have the water in my tub dripping, the cupboard doors underneath my sinks open to allow the heat, and my truck is plugged in. Skin will freeze within a couple of minutes in this cold, but when you are 1,800 meters in the air this is the weather that we live with.

The wood in the fireplace is crackling and I am enjoying my first coffee of the morning...life is good. I work from home so no need to go out brrrrr.

a good northern BC lad, i see

The weather is very cold here.

Also, I wanted to add this. If it very cold for YOU.

Warning - Run Water, Not Just Drip Water I’ve heard about 2 houses that had water dripping from multiple faucets that still froze up. When we get these freezes, I suggest a few extra steps.

1. You need to leave water ‘running’ at a minimal rate from multiple faucets for more than just a drip. Yes, this costs extra money, but this freeze is a bad one.

2. I set an alarm every 4 hours to open and run all faucets inside the house. Hot and cold both.

3. If you have a tankless water heater like I do, set it to cycle to keep pipes warm. Most of them have freeze protection for the unit as well.

Wish everyone the best of luck.

It's been pouring down raining heaps this morning and ALL day and night so far.
Rain today, tomorrow, and ALL next week. Yay!

Grey, damp, gloomy but getting slightly warmer. The sun is trying to pop it's head out : ) 👍
Typical English weather! 😁
