"Because the book says so" is the worst argument religious people come up with. Try better... And still: Nope. Neither. To me, neither heaven or hell exist, so I won't end up in either of them.

Death is a pretty interesting topic, not many choose to touch on it. It's morbid yeah and most get a "Phobia" from simply thinking about it. Some are afraid to die basically. As my grandma usto say we are only on earth for a vacation. Life is a short one.!

The arguments surrounding religion are useless. Faith is important. Regardless or religion. Empathy should be a universally understood language, every religion (that I know of ) says this in one way or another. Why the lines in the sand? Anyone saying “ you’re going to go to hell” …. Have you been there ?
Anyone saying “there is no such thing as a god”. . Have you met one ? Are they in your phone on speed dial?

Let people believe what they want to because belief is important. Just don’t be that person that is only worried about winning an argument and proclaiming someone else to be evil…. That sounds like politics. Not religion.

For the entire history of religion people have used it as a tool of war. I don’t think war is the goal. If your religion leads you to war you are lost and you deserve to reap what you have sown.

I know this is probably a rich convo coming from an American, as americas ideals and values are imperialistic. I just don’t sign up for that garbage.

I’m going to be in a good place when I die. Whether that’s returning to the earth as dirt or ash, or in a heaven…. Who’s to know. I haven’t been there. .
