Pro choice of pro life?

I had the naivety or stupidity to start debating this topic on gc thinking I can make people change or at least consider another point of view.
I am pro choice so with all good intentions I ended up being called a baby killer so I learned that debating is not for chats but maybe it's for forums. Somehow I have a premonition that ppl can't debate.

my opinion on this, as a woman who thinks men and women should be equal in society and that religion should not be taught in schools, is pro choice. A woman should be allowed to decide if she wants to keep the fetus or not it shouldn't be the decision of the priest, the politician or next door neighbour. Coming from a country where abortion was banned for 30 years, I have seen first hand unwanted children, parents who hated that they had extra mouths to feed or worse being dumped in a overpopulated orphanage where staff would tie babies to the crib to stop moving. When you see the effects you understand that people should be given the choice.
This has nothing to do with women that are trying to conceive and they can't.
Also if a girl has been raped by someone there should be a law allowing abortion rather than forcing the child to have a child. For example ROI where religion is still involved in law making, abortion is illegal even if it's a result of abuse.
So what do you think folks

Pro, use contraception..mistakes happen, but if you look at German statistics, you’ll see they really don’t.

Ultimately I am pro-choice, even though it’s evil.

I lived in a society where the government decided everything for you including having a baby. The legacy of those rules still echoes today.
This guardian article sums up everything that happens when you are forced to have children. If it's not religion it's politics.

Generally I am Pro-Life. However, I also believe that there are certain circumstances in which Pro-Choice is also the decision that needs to be made.

I think closest way of being both is being Pro-life with exception. I am prolife except if it will kill the mother then the mother should decide to abort or not other then that I think it is murder.

I lean to pro-life, that is unless it is highly proven by the mother that she is a victim of r4pe, incest, or other complex issues.
