How many Nato Soldier's Died for us during the "War on Terror?" Over 1,000 troops from other Nato countries died.
The United states chose Globalism, as a Mater of Fact Ronald Regan began that process.
You pick and chose your narrative with out context. The reason much High Tech jobs are off shore is because the create hung amounts of Toxic chemical by products, Which the United States didn't want.
Let also talk about how the US government and The Private sector has systematically, bought has kept from developing becasue it was more profitable to stop advancements in combustion engine techknowledgy.
In some countries they get near 100 miles to the gallon and even that is less than is possible, by simply atomizing the fuel ir even just turning it to a vapor before combustion. Or three different inventors were able to create engines that could run on salt water, which only emissions were O² and sodium, both of which have value.
Everyone I have ever had a conversation with once shown the facts. Stopped and accepted we shot ourselves in the foot. Spend some time researching the US history, use critical thinking not drone responses.
Ask yourself Am I better off to day than I was just 10 years ago, you aren't. A promise every candidate campaigns on and never delivers, not for lack of trying, but because Big Oil and Big Industry who funds the elections won't all it!
Here we go. Now this exactly what I was talking about. We're not so different. 1rst the war on terror is not the only war we fought for NATO. We became the world police and it needs to stop. I completely agree with you about the private sector and how it has hurt the technological advancement of our country. The food companies poison us and the pharmaceutical companies profit off that. They even tried to make mass incarceration a privatized industry remember in the 90's? All the private prisons that were popping up? Once it was stopped it was all over the news how them closing was going to increase unemployment and destroy their lives. Lol.
It's not just the combustion engine. If you look at the 81' to 95' cars they got almost double the gas mileage of the 96 cars and after. By simply changing the transmissions. So instead of 2k rpm at 55 mph those cars were at 1.3k-1.5k rpm at 55 mph. They got between 30-45 miles to the gallon. Also we should have had AI 10 years ago, but AMD crapped the bed with Bulldozer and because Intel didn't have to innovate they just sat on their lead doing nothing for 14 years. AMD launches Ryzen and the race is back on and technology is exploding again. Same thing with NVIDIA and Radeon. Every time Radeon advances then NVIDIA advances and we get a bunch of better tech for cheaper. What a coincidence!
I completely agree we need to fix our country. It's got so many problems. Reagan was the worst president of all time. He started this globalism crap AND the fiat system we are on now instead of the gold standard.
We absolutely shot ourselves in the foot. I agree.
Trump was just speaking at the World Economic Forum not long ago and blasted Globalism saying it has been a disaster. How it has hollowed out our country of manufacturing. You remember at the first RNC he went he got boo'd at? Everyone on the left was laughing at him about it. Well what they didn't tell you is that he was asked at the RNC, "How are you going to get campaign funds from donors if you are being so abrasive? You need that to win." His answer was, "I don't need these people." He pointed to the crowd who were all donors. He then said, "I just need the vote of the people. That's who I care about." That's when he was boo'd.
In 2016 I voted for Bernie in the primary. When he lost I finally looked into Trump and where he stood on issues. My biggest concern with that election was the Trans-Pacific Partnership. Wikileaks had released the part of the trade deal stating that corporations would have pretty much exclusive control over health, food, and environmental safety laws in every country in the trade deal. That if we hurt their profit they could sue at the World Bank over it. Hillary was unwilling to say she would veto it. Trump didn't even hesitate to say he'd veto it. Then I saw video of clips of him talking about how bad NAFTA was and why were letting China take all our jobs from the 80's and 90's. I knew that he would be the best chance to block it. I also voted for Bernie again in the primary in 2020.
Bill Clinton was the second biggest blow to our country. He finished NAFTA for Bush senior. The establishment republicans and democrats made mass incarceration worse. Him and Republicans gutted Glass-Stegall in 1998. A bill that prevented too big to fail. Bush jr piled on even more and by 2008 we had a collapse and up to that point the largest transfer of wealth in American history. We lent the banks 732 billion interest free money to bail them out. They then lent that money back to the government and citizens with interest to pay it back. And they kept all the homes of the people they tricked into reverse mortgaging. Smh.
What irritates me is everyone blames Trump for this inflation from his first term without even knowing how inflation works. So the more money we print the less valuable it becomes. Covid hit and they printed off what 2-3 trillion dollars? This was bipartisan too. Heck the Democrats wanted to print off even more money, but the Republicans said, "No. We need to see if the first stimulus is effective first." By the election republicans they were trying giving everyone who makes under 50k another stimulus round because they found they were the people who needed more help. The Democrats blocked it for political gain of course.
Had the Democrats had their way and gave every American 2k a month until the pandemic was over just imagine how bad inflation would be now.
We have become exactly what the founding fathers have feared. Exactly what they tried to prevent.
Trump is no where near perfect. People can't even begin to fathom what a 50 year mortgage will lead to. You see the world is tapped. It can only produce so much. Most of the money is locked down. They buy the best minds from universities for the private sector to keep that lead. Well now their new goal is to put the future in debt. 50 year loans become 60 years. Then 70 years. So on and so forth. At some point people's children, grandchildren, great grandchildren will have to pay off these loans. Between that and him praising the chairman of the FCC for getting Jimmy Kimmel taken off the air for that short time when the chairman abused his power threatening the deal of Jimmy's parent company is disgusting. Makes him no better than the Republicans and Democrats trying to silence all non-conformists on television and the internet.
As far as this war goes it could all be just a distraction from the Epstein files or us just doing what Israel wants, but I don't think it is. Even it if it is I believe it has potential to give us exactly what we want. With Iran's defense in tatters and too broke to buy more weapons after this and if we get the nuclear material(if it even exists because we have heard this bullcrap line before) we could indefinitely pull out of the middle east and let Israel police it. I am not a fan of Israel, but damn I want out of the middle east getting my tax dollars. I want out of NATO too. We are pulling 5k troops from Germany by the end of the year and there might be more pending. Look at how much we have spent on other countries and NATO. If we hadn't done that our debt would be extremely low.
The people of the US were TRICKED into Globalism. You are right. Now that we have seen the end result we are choosing different. Establishment politicians will never win my vote. Even if we go back to the illusion of choice that we had before Trump I will just role a d20 to see who gets my vote. State and local elections still matter so I will never stop voting. But yeah. I love that Trump is pissing off all the people I don't like. I like that he's pushing away our allies that we spend way too much money on. I am not for isolationism btw. I think if a country needs help with something and we are in a good place we can decide to help. Why do we have to pay 100's of billions a year to do it? We can trade too. Heck I think the best way to make the world better is to let people from all over the world learn here then take it back home and improve their country. Give a person a fish they'll eat for a day. Teach a person to fish they are set for life.
Everyone on this forum who is not from America of course is gonna hate my point of view. They are looking out for their own self interests and their own countries. Of course Europe has all these amazing social programs and colleges and culture. They spend so little on their defense so they got the money fund all that. No it's time they defend themselves. It's time Israel defends itself too.
We need to fix the problems with America before we help other countries. This war could be a step towards that. It might not be, but it is lining up with a lot of other things this administration is doing for what appears to be a big shift away from NATO and Globalism.
P.S. We have lost a lot more soldiers in wars for NATO than just the war on terror. This crap has been going on for 80 years.
