Edit: And to the whole roleplay thing, (hopefully Popity doesn't mind me saying this now) Amanda and I are teaming up to make a new roleplay, one that we think is good and has a good plot. We should have it finished soon. =)
It's organized, yet very....not. It's weird.I don't mind you telling them. But yea, we're working on a RP. Hopefully everyone will like it.
The reason why we're working on it, cause I suggested to her that we should have game masters to help guide the plot. Rather than to just leave it open. I think if an RP has an actual story line, and someone can guide it in the right direction, it can run more smoothly, not drag on. (Like 20 pages of just plain fighting) And there should be something for everyone to do, and to suit all personalities. Like if you're a loner, you can be a loner, if you work better in groups, then be in a group.
I think we should leave the ones we have now, and since Popity and I are making up one as we speak, it'd be senseless to add more unless we needed them.I actually agree with whoever said that as long as you have a rp with a plot and at least two people, that it can work. Any Rp can work, long as there's people posting, provided that they keep it interesting. It might get a little arb, but it aint that hard to make up stories. And adding boundries to an rp... don' you think that would kind of take away what an RP is. You'd be too busy wondering whether you're over stepping the rules, and making sure you're sticking to the guide, rather than being your own person, and just being allowed the freedom to come up with whatever you're feeling. Anyways, aint an RP supposed to be like "a go anywhere" thing? For me, I personally like the idea of having no definite end, and that way it can lead up to anything. It's all about intertwining yourself to the story. If what you guys want are Rp's to join, then i don't mind making up a couple new threads? If they're no good, then close 'em, and we keep trying. 😛:
Our RP isn't bound and restricted by a guide. We're making it flexible enough to a point where we don't even know if good or bad is going to win.
Yes, it is up to the people posting, and we have included details and opportunities to let any side win. She and I have no idea which side will come out on top. We're just making up the setting and keeping it interesting throughout the roleplay, so we won't have 13 pages of just fighting. And yes, we are taking a long time. It's hard to talk to people when your schedules are different. We'll have it ready really soon.I must've read wrong, regardless, aint that up to the people posting. I'm not trying to be negative, i'm all up for your Rp. It's probably going to be awesome, seeing as you're taking SO long. But the real problem here is, people are too busy worried about what story to make, rather than joining in on the Rp's. I'll admit though, I too wouldn't just join any Rp, but still anything that keeps me typing, and wanting to come back and post, is fine by me.
Tell you what, you write the first draft of the thing, and I'll add my changes or rewrite my ideas into it, then we'll make the final draft and it's done. That way it won't take but a couple more days.Yea. She comes on for one half of the day...I come on the other half. Yay for time zones. :clap
