No the thread does not pertain to obese high school bullies; it refers to XL Bulldogs.
Here in England (and Wales; Scotland/Northern Ireland may have different rules- can’t see anything that imcludes NI/S in this) as of tomorrow, all bully XLs must be kept on a lead and muzzled in public. It will also be illegal from this date to breed, sell, advertise, gift, exchange, and abandon these dogs or let them stray.
February 2024 will also start being a criminal offence if owners do not have a certificate of exemption which must be applied through the UK Government (ironically) before the end of February. This will no doubt cause ridiculous quotes in fees for insurance etc.
This is countered with the fact this will also mean a high increase of these animals being abandoned/neglected and worse- off hock of course is also condemned by animal rights.
Thoughts? Do you think they are “status dogs”?
