What things did you either believe or misunderstand in your childhood innocence?

I remember thinking the Lion bars were actually food for lions and couldnt think why there would sell them in a sweet shop as i never saw any lions around our area.

I thought ham came from cows. I only found out about a year ago it doesn't.

:reallysad ppl told me that the easter bunny wasnt real i was sad casuse i loved that bunny:reallysad

When I was a kid, we used to have our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve. Lots of family, friends etc. Well, my dad had this horrible habit of gathering the kids together and telling us that he had Santa locked up in the attic.:curse: :reallysad Talk about a bunch of terrified kids! One year he even had my brother-in-law make noises in the attic. man we were convinced that Santa was up there.

I was confused about when i was a child over a lot of stuff but i'm going to just name one of them....I use to get my cousin name wrong all the time her real name is Talisha but people call her Bean...so when i was around people that called her bean i'll call her Talisha-Bean!!!

These are some things I believed in when I was a kid (and the approximate age I stopped believing)

- Early morning fog was actually a bunch of clouds that were having a 'lie in' and hadn’t gone back up to the sky yet (12) see below

- You could walk on clouds, should you wish too (12) - We had a 'cloud' lesson at school, completely changed my life!!

- The world used to be in black and white (10) - Although I'm still half convinced that it really was, the past just doesn’t seem 'right' in colour.

- People on TV could see me! (7) - I just kinda realised they couldn't

- People who lived in a Bungalow, had to sleep in their living rooms on pull out beds, like a caravan, as there was no upstairs for bedrooms (6)- the age I moved into a bungalow

- I used to think my Dad was famous and everyone knew him and he was the best at everything. (5) This imagery just started to dwindle through the course of time

- I used to think that if I prayed for something, like a drum kit, or a bike, it would be there in the morning (5) - Too much praying, not enough receiving, I just give it up

- Like 'R-Kelly', I used to believe I could fly, until a number of fruitless efforts made me re-evaluate the situation (10) - No of sprained bones (unlimited) / No of successful flights (Zero)

- I used to think if you recited the lords prayer backwards whilst looking in the mirror, an image of the devil would appear

. Actually, I was too scared to test out the theory, maybe it's true.

When I was 6 I thought that all religions have mathematical symbols associated with them (I knew only four then ... divide, multiply, add and subtract) I knew that Christians had the add symbol , I was curious what other religions used :banghead:
