What keeps you up at night?

I can't sleep unless I'm touching/cuddling with my boyfriend, which sucks because we rarely sleep together anymore; second he's home from work he falls asleep on the couch until morning so I'm all alone and my insecurities eat at me all night unless I'm near him.

The Internet is definitely a big problem, but third shifts don't help my sleeping at night. Working nights and sleeping during the day got me feeling some type of way.

Lately, nothing. I've been going to bed at 11 and waking up at 6/7. 😉

Side note...

Oh hey, attitude :rose: Nice to see you.

Some nights it is a slight case of anxiety preventing me from even laying down & others, admittedly, it's just that I find myself chatting in VGC. c;

coffee

coffee

if i drink too much coffee im awake, but there are also times that i just wake for no reason around 1 -3 am then i go back to sleep again.:reallysad: so, it happens to alot of people

Insomnia and the sound of the cats in the neighbourhood trying to get it on. Nothing like screeching ***** cats to keep you awake.

What I've done that day in work that day, what I have to do in work the next. And.....YouuuuTube, obviously

I come home late from training. By the time i cook, eat, clean up after myself, shower, its already way past midnight. I really wish there were 30hrs in a day. I can make good use of those extra 6hrs.

Most nights it's because of my studies and modding the chatroom.. but it's all good I kinda like staying up late at night 😛

^pretty much what this guy said, lol.

Whenever I have too much thinking going around in my head, they play like a recorder at night...and it never stops. Sometimes it can keep me up for 3-4hrs, and worst possible outcome....they even transfer to my dreams.

But once things settle down, I usually get a nice relaxing night's sleep.

Wished after those 3-4 i could sleep all the way to 7

I'm a natural day dreamer, but being an adult is a bit rubbish & I rarely find the time!

Sometimes my brain compensates & allows me to do so into the wee hours.

Cheers brain!

I can't seem turn my brain off.. too many thoughts, though i think about scenario's in my head to keep my mind occupied, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't

Sound

Sound

I have always had a hard time sleeping at night. My mind is full of so many things and thoughts. Grandfather came up with an idea and it helped a lot. He recorded a hard rain storm, thunder and the sound of rain. I click it on at night and listen to it. It is so relaxing and puts me to sleep. GOOD JOB GRANDFATHER. 🙂

me too , also forums and chat obviously keep me up , doglets inching me over and nowhere to put my legs cause two little pooches Take up the majority of my queen sized bed !

I wake up sometims and wonder WTF and I doing with my life. Common I'm sure, but for some reason all of the negative things in our lives feel so much more oppressive at 3 in the morning that during the day. I can conquer and face most thinigs in the day hours, but for some reason, the middle of the night is like kryptonite to me..........

Insomnia, primarily. Also, I hate sitting around doing nothing, waiting for sleep to come, so that plays a role as well, I imagine, because I'm always trying to keep my mind occupied.

Loud noises, got to keep the house very quiet at night at bedtime or I can't sleep :banghead: sometimes insomnia/anxiety and also the dogs snoring loudly lol.

Something else I didn't think of just came to mind. It's something that used to keep me up, but not anymore. We owned several roosters who would not only crow in the morning, but also at night, sometimes for pretty long stretches. I don't hate em for doing what nature programmed them to do, but am glad they are gone and out of my hair.

My own thoughts keep me awake. I'm an introvert and i tend to over-think EVERYTHING. from worst case scenario in my relationship to wondering if i forgot to do anything before laying down. It takes me forever to fall asleep because of it

This is me ^

I'd also expand it to include "anything I may have done wrong from the earliest memories I have until earlier that same day" ;P
