Wheel of Time (Alternative Universe)

I've tried this role-play on multiple forums before, but it seemed like no one was interested. So I'm giving it a shot here.

"The Wheel of time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.."

Hello, I've decided to create a roleplay dedicated to the world of the "The Wheel of Time" by James Oliver Rigney, Jr, otherwise known as Robert Jordan. This roleplay will take place in the same timeframe as the actual story, and will consist of the same species of creatures from the story: Channelers: Aes Sedai(and their Warders, of course) Asha'man, Wise Ones, Winfinders, et cetera. Shadowspawn: Myrddraal, Trollocs, Dragkhar, Darkhounds, and Darkfriends. Warriors of the mighty Seanchean empire, or perhaps you'd like to try your hand at an Aiel Warrior? Ordinary human beings also play an important part in the development of the story, although their parts may seem a bit more tedious than the rest. You may choose whichever land you wish to descend from: Andor, Tear, Illian, Murandy, Cairhien, Altara, Amadicia, Tarabon, Ghealdan, Arad Doman, Saldaea, Kandor, Arafel, or Shienar, Seanchean, The Aiel Waste, or Mountains of Dhoom/Shayol Ghul are the places you have to choose from. Your background story is your own responsibility. You decide the history of the character you create. The name of your character is just as important as their appearance, because it describes something about them. To help you out a bit I found a Wheel of Time name generator online: https://www.wotmud.org/names/
Search through the names depending on what species you choose to roleplay as.

I usually welcome anyone who wants to roleplay to the threads I make, but I do hope that people with actual knowledge of the WOT world will join. I could spend the entire day describing each and every detail of a specific type of character, or the land from which that character descended, but I really don't want to do that now just in case no one joins. Once I'm sure that people are interested in joining my roleplay I'll fill in the details of each race and land so that no one is confused.

Remember: This roleplay is its own Alternative Universe aside from the original WOT plot. There will be similarities, of course, but everyone is expected to play as their own original character and not one from the actual storyline.

Like I said, once I know that I can get some people interested in the roleplay, I'll fill in the blanks so that everyone can enjoy, and no one will be ignorant.

Here's a sign-up sheet for those of you who're interested in joining the roleplay:

Character race/appearance:

Still waiting for people to respond to this thread. I'm hoping that at least a few people will. Once a decent amount of people join I'll fill in the rest of the information about the geography of the land and the customs of each race. Come on people.

Character name: Tervames al'Tuon

Character race/appearance: Male Channeler. He is a stout man, but also solid. He is of average height and has broad shoulders. He has long black hair that he usually ties up at the nape of his neck, and piercing blue eyes that speak of the madness that's slowly creeping in on his mind.

Attitude: Madness is slowly creeping in on his mind, causing him to channel uncontrollably. He often talks to himself, mumbling incoherent things.

Aspirations: To find the school called the Black Tower and the Dragon Reborn, in the hopes that perhaps he is a cure for the madness.

Weaponry: He is able to channel Saidin, the male half of the One Power, but not powerfully. He is only able to perform simple tasks with Saidin so far, and even those drain a lot of energy out of him.

History: Tervames has suddenly become confused about the world around him and questions his existence. He has just recently discovered that he is able to channel the male Half of the One Power; Saidin. He has heard of a school that has just recently been erected for such men, called the Black Tower and ran by the Dragon Reborn himself. Tervames fears that the madness that plagues all male channelers will soon fall upon him and so sets out on a journey to find this school in the hopes that The Dragon Reborn might be able to aid him. He has heard that the school is somewhere near Caemlyn.

I'd join, but you haven't explained the story or anything. For those of us unfamiliar to the books we'd be lost. Could you give us some details and explain what the roleplay is about and what the story is and where you intend to take it.

I don't mean to offend Frosty, but if you would've thoroughly read my first post I stated that I would thoroughly explain everything once I was confident in the number of people wanting to join.

Im not offended. I read that, but what I'm saying is a brief explanation wouldn't hurt. It'd take like 10 minutes. Since you've read the books and know the story, you shouldn't have a problem just explaining the finer details for those of us who are not familiar with it.

The people who roleplay here usually join anything. We are not picky, but you have to enlighten us. Your introduction about the roleplay made no sense to me personally, because I had no idea what you were talking about. It seems like something I'd roleplay, but I just don't know what its about.
